If law enforcement spent more time hunting real criminals, like the ones supplying the crack and heroine, then there would be less drug deaths in the area. Marijuana is NOT something to be concerned about - hell it's legal in several states, but of course, it will the 22nd Century before people get their heads out of their butts to see the future in the Commonwealth.

That was enough cannabis to cure 140 people of cancer according to scientific research. It is way past time we got the whole truth out about cannabis and the endocannabinoid system that all mammals have in their bodies. The discovery of cannabis curing cancer was made in a study done at UVA back in 1974.Please don't take my word for it do your own research, then tell all your friends.

Actually it is the misrepresentation of the bible that forbids the plant. This plant is mentioned several times in the bible. The "essential oils" of the cannabis as well as from other plants were used in the anointing oil. This plant was also one of the seed bearing plants that were given to us to use.

His million dollar fine with come out of our taxes. The tables are turning very quickly on the uses for this plant and the lies and deceit surrounding it.You do realize that this plant can save lives, keep us all in good health, and above all restore balance to the planet's ecosystem. How many new medical problems have turned up in the last 75 years since this plant was banned?Who is making a killing from prescription drugs that only seem to be approved if there are a list of side effects treatable by other drugs a mile long?Check out the research page on the website for MJNA.

copied from your 2nd link cedro......One of the major concerns surrounding marijuana use are its effects on health. The scientific evidence is weak however, and findings from various studies sometime contradict others. A large portion of the research that has been performed, often for ethical reasons, has used animal rather than human models and there is no warranty that such models transfer automatically to humans. Nevertheless, the findings from marijuana research on animal models do pose questions of health concern.

copied from medical marijuana inc. website, research page.....Clinical research performed over the past few years continues to show benefits arising from medical marijuana. Presently there are in excess of 1 million US “medical marijuana” patients and an increasing number of physicians in the US are writing prescriptions (sometimes called a recommendation, depending upon the State) for medicinal cannabis. Smoked cannabis aside, new extracts and compounds from the industrial hemp plant have been developed and adopted by the cannabis community. Cannabidiol, one of the most prevalent non-psycho-active cannabinoids has shown significant health and wellness benefits – potentially more beneficial than cannabis and THC.

One of science’s newest and most exciting discovery’s is that of the endocannabinoid system. Part of all mammalian life (yes, including us humans!) this system regulates such functions as eating, sleeping, memory, relaxation, the immune system and is a large nerve communication network. Cells within our bodies have receptor sites for these cannabinoids so they are meant to be part of the human dietary experience – many researchers now postulate there may be a cannabinoid deficiency syndrome. The CB1 receptor sites are primarily found in the brain, while the CB2 receptors are found in the internal organs and digestive tract. Phyto-cannabinoids (plant based cannabinoids) seem to act in a similar manner as to the human produced endocannabinoids – thus we may be able to supplement our diets with these plant based cannabinoids. http://www.medicalmarijuanainc.com/index.php/...

Maybe the 75 year thing has more to do with breakthroughs in scientific and medical knowledge/awareness/, and less about about Marijuana being banned. What sounds more logical to you? 75 years ago, computers had not been invented and it predated people jumping under their desks at school for a nuclear bomb drill. Think with logic.

You can give absolutely ZERO evidence that the "new medical problems" that "now exist" can be attributed to a ban on marijuana. More likely it has to with common sense- increased medical knowledge/diagnosis and increased chemicals in food, products and fossil fuels in the air, etc.

You do realize of course that cannabis is naturally insect resistant,a superior food source, and can replace 50% of our oil.It can also produce paper at 5 times the rate of trees requiring less energy and chemicals to do so.All cloth made from cannabis can be recycled into paper.Cannabis also purifies the air and removes toxins from the soil.

Yes, please tell me what the fiber/protein/caloric content of cannabis is? Since, in your words, it is such a wonderful food source. What fuel does it give to humans?

Do you ever wonder why people routinely die from ill-informed vegan diets? Or do you hear those terrible stories of infants passing from vegan diets their parents put them on? Becuase it is not enough of a food source alone without a level of animal protein.

Nobody is debating that cannabis has a host of wonderful benefits that could be utilized. And nobody is debating that for select medical issues, chemical thc works as natural anesthesia.

I'm not even debating whether it should or should not be illegal. It definitely does make some people stupid as hell though.

Do some research......It is far beyond that.CBD is showing even greater medical potential now.It has been discovered that we as well as all mammals are fundamentally wired to respond to cannabis. In fact the cannabinoids in the plant match the ones in our body that fight illness.
