The reason there is a crackdown on Barrio Azteca is because they have ties to the Juarez cartels. The easiest way for the cartels to bring their violence over here is through the Aztecas. Law Enforcement sees this risk and is doing their best to stop it before it has a chance to start... By putting up billboards of the BA leader, they are essentially putting out "a hit" on him. The news and Law Enforcement has advertised his ties to La Linea, so now he will be a target for the Sinaloa cartel. FBI, DEA, ICE These guys are pretty smart...

Maybe we should just legalize gangs and murder too. Then we can just ignore the problem...

Boy you are the biggest lier or the stupidist person on this Blog.
You go ahead and believe that lawenforcement has conquered or nibbed it in the Bud.
The cartels are here, they live in America. The cartels are just not going to use aztecas anymore, and they will use someone else..let's see how about Salvatruchas, out of control ,don't care, heartless face tatooed motherfu..kers.
But that is what you wanted idiot...that is what you will get. Atleast the aztecas had day jobs and families. They were human beings. Kiss your a/ss goodbye....freak
It's spelled "liar" not lier.... MS-13 is not a big threat here dumb(ass). They are from El Salvador and don't have a big presence here.(Like in L.A.) The Aztecas started here, and have a presence here. That is why Law Enforcement is after them here. Put the pipe down homes...

Meras was killed because he stole money and drugs from cartel members...for no other reason.

Gallardo was one of several gang members that testified -- sometimes falsy -- against others in exchange for a lighter sentence.

Gallardo was so desperate that he gave up his own son. His testimony can not be trusted.

The Aztecas is/are the boogie man of the month!

The basis of the charges against the BA was that they extorted money from local dope dealers and kept some of it and send some of it to their jailed leaders for commissary.

There is no record of the Aztecas bothering anyone not involved in the drug trade.

The Aztecas were led by Josue Aguirre a.k.a. Casper, who at one time owened a tattoo shop in El Paso. At the trial it was discovered that Aguirre has been an FBI informant since 2003.

While acting as an informant Josue Aguirre committed many crimes and was never charged or had the charges dismissed because he was an FBI informant.

So what was going on was that an FBI informant was actually directing and encouraging the other BA's to committ crimes so that they could latter be charged with those crimes.

Josue Aguirre was paid $75,000.00 for his work by the FBI

Another such informant was Eduardo Ruiz, a one time cab driver, that received substantial money from the FBI to encourage others to committ crime so they could later be charged with those crimes.

I've seen better press coverage in high school news papers.

See the trial transcripts if you doubt this.

So when Prohibition ended, Organized crime still controlled the distribution of Spirits? And I suppose they still do, if we go by what some of you are stating. Legalize the MJ and organized crime will have to find another cash cow.

El Paso Taxpayer, I agree with you. Fuentes cartel, juarez cartel,la linea all the same. Aztecas are low level hitmen, local tax collectors, whatever you want to call them. Every cartel uses gangs like this to do SOME of their dirty work! More complex hits are done by highly trained groups i.e. "ZETAS" currently used by the Sinaloa Cartel operated by Chapo Guzman. There is so much confusion, betrayal, among these cartels they don't even know who to trust. As you can see the military/govenment is supporting El Chapo! For one he escaped a maximium security prison in Mexico, second of all his associates are taking on two turf battles at the same time one in Cd.Juarez(Carrillos) another in Tijuana(Arellano-Felix). It is impossible for one cartel to battle for two large and powerful territories without the assistance of the government.

This guy is really dumb and he is not a leader because if he was he would not tell on his gang. Your gang is like your family and if you would snich on your family then you deserve to have a green light hit on you.
