What is so stupid about it? That's how government makes money on all types of prohibition.

Do you really think they're locking them up because what they're doing is "bad" ?

It's all about the money. That's why you have a multi-million dollar judicial building in a town with one stop light.

That is true. They got bills to pay especially now. New courthouse, new jai and you better believe they need money.

I would make drug trafficking and manufacturing of drug a death penalty and exercise the executions with extreme vigor.

9 months to get born 9 months to hang your stupid rumps.

Drugs would cease to be a problem rather quickly.

One has a hard time in making the dealers understand that when they are selling to these people, 90% of them are working for our sheriff and the sheriff in turn works with U.N.I.T.
I have tried to explain this to them many times but they are too sorry to work so they continue to sell.
The sheriff ran on the (platform) that his plans were to arrest the dealers and not so much the user so if these dealers want to think the sheriff is dating all these young girls just to get a little on the side, come on! where did they attend school?
On the other hand, he may be doing just this but is there any of the other ex-sheriffs' that didn't date women? They all did.
Personall, I think it is funny they are being arrested as they should have better sense. Suppose they stay out of their mind from drugs and continue to think we still have the ex-sheriff in office.
As far as the jail having to be paid for and this would be the reason for the arrests, when did these dealers start paying taxes on the sell of their drugs?

I'm not so in love with your and my government, but I have less love for the drug dealers that are destorying our children. One of their problems? The government doesn't GIVE them enough so they want to push their product so they can live as if they have a job.

Instead of the modern day witch hunts, maybe we should be asking ourselves why our youth is wanting drugs so badly? It is not because drugs are a new concept. Drugs and dealers have been around for a long, long time. There has to be a reason why the youth and people today have such a need to be high. Untill we figure that out, no amount of battles in this pointless drug war will ever stop drug abuse. Somone said drugs were destroying our children, well what is going to happen when we have a whole generation of felons. Thats what is comming. In 20 years, we wont even have any police because the majority of our society will be a felon.

We are kind of on the same track"The real facts". Many people have quit drugs forever. Literally thousands can tell you the same thing. That`s why I try to motivate and encourage people to do whatever they have to do to get treatment and learn how to live sober.(please check out problems) on here. I would much rather see mon and dad working to take care of the children than see them in jail. But since many people using break the law they have to be behind bars.
On the other hand if I had a son or daughter, brother or sister using or selling, I much rather see them in jail than in the funeral home.

I use to be one of those ppl. Been clean and sober almost a year. It's hard to ask for help. A lot of ppl want help just don't know how to ask. Maybe now is their chance. And I'm willing to help. Ppl dont realize what drug addiction is like. It really is a disease that affects ur brain. Im just now starting to be able to think clearly. Gettin better is a long process but It is so worth it.

Praise the Lord!!! So glad to see this!!! We need to keep praying for our young people to turn their life away from this life destroying habit. I went thru it with a family member, and I praise and thank God everyday that they saw this life is nothing but total destruction of their body, mind and soul. Let's keep praying for all thats involved in this.

What if you have a child that dont want help? Its been going on more than 10yrs. We've done everything in our power.Yes he's been in jail several times, hasnt helped one bit. I agree with jail but when they come right out and start using them again and say you can get all the drugs you want in jail, theres really no hope! I didnt believe it at the start and then you see where they are arresting deputys for taking drugs into the jail. Where does it end? Everyone is afraid to call the police because you dont know who you are talking to.Tried it once and they said they would get back with me ,well they got back with my child instead of me. That helped awhole lot now didnt it. Then Im told throw them out of the house, well I guess that will help alot, throw them right to the drug dealers and maybe we can find them dead as so many others have been found. I dont know the answer but i've tried everything, but I know one thing nobody loves your children like their parents ,nobody will tell them to stop what their doing except their parents and lastly they wont do drugs in front of their parents. I know God is the only answer, if only these people on drugs could see that. The person in the upper post was right ,if something isnt done soon in 20yrs all there will be is felons. Its about there now.

the state sells drugs to everyone i bet everyone on here has a prescription for 1 thing or another.this whole thing is about money.the people that sell most of the time are just trying to get by in life.and the cops are just trying to get paid.when you get caught all they want is money.and how is it ok for the rats to sell and buy just cuase they tell on a few of there 'friends'.you cant stop drugs people have been doing them since the begining of time.and there are billion dollar companies making them everyday.it will never stop and if you think it will your a fool.if someone wants to get hi its there body and none of your business.i agree some people take it to far but people get drunk on beer every minute.what is the diffrence

To "help" in Berea. If you have read my post and my story, you know that no one will quit until they make up their mind they want a different life.
Have you heard of intervention? That is where a group of family members along sometimes with a clergyman or a trusted friend, have a get to gether and confront the person (hopely when they are at least somewhat sober ) and in a firm but caring way tell them you are very much concerned about them and want to help. Tell them about some of the things they have done and where you are afraid of where they will end up. They are missing out on so much of life. Personally I think the best way after so many years is to go into a 30 day treatment center and then into a halfway house for awhile, to give them plenty of time to clear their head. If they do that and get into a 12 step recovery program and attend meetings regularly where folks who quit a long time ago can help they can be helped a lot. I didn`t get my experience from a book on psycology I got it by my own experience. I wish you the best.
