freedom of speech wrote: that might be a point that the jails would be full if we had all the currupt arrested but we dont so, gettn 1 off the streets that is supposed to have upheld the law is alot better a crock knows their a crock but to act like youe superior and god given and you are nothing but a crocked cop isnt the security any town needs. Are you afraid to use the name that was given to you at birth, are you telling everyone that you have never done anything against the law? I personally have been arrested by Bohannon, and no, I don't like him, but I don't KNOW beyond the shadow of a doubt that he is guilty. All I have heard is that he was arrested. I was not guilty for the crime that I was accused of but at the time I could not prove it.

Wow! Don't really know what to say about all of this. I have known the Bohannon's forever, I'm sure lots of us have. I have known the Forman's and the Quintanilla's as well. It is hard to hear the things that I have heard now, or in the past. Sometimes it can get to where it's like "yeah, yeah, i hear that all the time..whatever" It then becomes a blur for those who never realized that these things were really happening. It is honestly unbelievable! I love my family and I love my kids...and I will forever and always do whatever I have to do. I somewhat feels as if these men/woman were doing the same. It may not have been the way I would have gone, but it is understandable. Prayers to all families involved in any way.

I did not ask if you had ever been in trouble with the law, I asked if you had ever broken the law. You cannot be alive today and not have violated the law in one way or another. There are over one million laws on the books in the U.S. today. You cannot live without breaking a law of some kind. All I am saying is don't accuse someone else unless you can back it up.

They have a huge case against all involved and probably then some when people start to roll over on each other.

Everyone who lived there knows it's true. Anyone wants to keep doing "The Emperor's New Clothes" and say he's got it all going on when he's stark naked then you better like disappointment. They got more evidence than they need. Are you kidding? You think there's anyone in Levelland not hurt by this? It makes our hometown look like crap, a laughing stock in the United States and plays right into the stereotype of small towns in Texas. Yeah, there's the Bohannon legacy right there. Thanks. He was supposed to protect the community not pump drugs into it. Everyone there knows what he was up to at the Sonic. Whatever good he did really isn't going to register anymore except with his family which I guess is what family is for. I love and support my family that are involved in this and it hurts to have to finally accept that they made criminal choices>

First of all, the charges against soon to be 'former Deputy Sheriff Gordon Bohannon' should not be used as personal attacks on Gray Bohannon. Gary is not implicated in this case and those attacks serve no purpose in this discussion. And thanx for serving Gary by the way.
The reputation of Gordon Bohannon precedes these Federal Indictments. Allegations of corruption against Bohannon have dated back 24 years to the time he was given a badge. Growing up in Levelland in the 80's allowed me some first hand knowledge of that Deputies lack of integrity. That man, always, arrogantly lived his life above the law. And today, he caught up in his own woven web of corruption.
Had the Levelland community had it's way, he would have been charged long ago. But anyone that grew up in small town Texas, especially in a town like Levelland, knows 'the good ole boy system' is the law. It took outside Law Enforcement officers to crack open the door of real justice to this unjust man. And now Gordon Bohannon, has no choice but to walk through and see where his balance of justice swings.

Finally, its good to see Levelland start to be cleaned up. It has always been a dirty place. Kind of like Juarez, El Paso or Odessa. Just plain nasty.

I've know Bohannon for many years. And everyone that is on here talking crap about him really need to sit down and get all the facts. Yall sit here and talk but have any of yall really sat down and talked to him? He is on of the nicest people I've been around. He's been a family friend for many years and he's the only person that would go out of his way to help anyone out. He may have is problem but so does everyone else. If yall are going to just call out Bohannon yall are stupid. what about the one that bought from him? It was just him!! If he goes to prison i believe that ALL the people that bought from him should go as well. NOT just Bohannon. I believe that Bohannon is NOT guilty !!

An indictment is an accusation by a federal grand jury and a defendant is entitled to the presumption of innocence unless proven guilty. However, if convicted on the conspiracy charge, each of the defendants faces a maximum statutory sentence of not less than 10 years and up to life in prison, a fine of up to $4,000,000, and a life term of supervised release. The indictment also includes a forfeiture allegation which would require some of the defendants, upon conviction, to forfeit five residences in Hockley and Lubbock Counties, 10 vehicles, currency, and approximately 35 various firearms.
The case is being investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Texas Department of Public Safety, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the United States Marshal Service, the United States Postal Inspection Service, the Hockley County District Attorney’s Office, the Levelland Police Department, the Lubbock Police Department, and the Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office.
Assistant U.S. Attorneys C. Richard Baker and Denise Williams, of the Lubbock, Texas, U.S. Attorney’s Office, are prosecuting the case.

LevelCrap you say that levelland will start to become clean, but im sorry it will NEVER be clean. If the people want drugs they WLL get them no matter who sells them or how far they have to go. With the bust yesterday it maybe one less place to get them but theres always other ways to get them. just wait you think that bust will slow everything down but it wont. Another dealer will show up. And things will go right back like the were. Everyone say they are glad the are going to be going to prison because it makes it safer for your families and others. But you know somewhere down the line one of your family members has been in their place how did them going to jail affect your family? My Prayers are going out to Bohannon and his family!

Yeah drugs will always be a problem everywhere because of people like this. But Maybe, just maybe, it won't involve the whole freaking police department and abuse the power and trust of the community they are supposed to serve. Gary Bohannon needs to chill an destress and just be there for his family. He is trying to serve the USA and understandably emotional about this. Saying someone else will come in and do the same thing is no excuse for minimizing what all of these people did. If nothing else, hopefully the cops can stay semi clean for God's sake.

Are you kidding me? Not only was the FBI here..but the DEA and ATF too? It is totally unbelievable that they would come alll the way down to podunk levelland and head up a MAJOR drug bust and your sorry excuse for a sheriff father is completleyyyy innocent and has absolutely nothing to do with it. Yeah. The FBI makes those kind of mistakes all the time. All in a days work. METH KILLS PEOPLE, and it's rampant in our little town. Anyone involved in that type of thing has no respect for themselves, their family, and the human race in general. Wake up and smell the amphetamine. You're over there risking your life so our country can stay FREE while daddy dearest, whose SUPPOSED to be upholding the law, is over here oppressing people left and right. Its time they all got the fuck out of our community and take their dirty drugs with them. GOOD RIDDANCE.
