Good riddance to another 3rd world thug who was elected by mostly ignorant people who thought that Chavez would help them. And they are still as poor today as they were when they voted for him. My but how similar that all is to the situation with Obama. Black unemployment is now 13.8% and black teenage unemployment is 43.1%. Smart move Chavistas and 'African'-Americans. Keep voting for people who look like you and who rant the socialist message. You'll continue to prosper. LOL

There was a guy in Germany who was very popular with his people and won their hearts. I will give you hint to what his name was, it rhymes with Adolph Hitler.
If there is one thing you can say for Mr. Chavez, he did pretty well for a third world dictator, a net worth of $1.6 Billion.

Sean Penn aka Mrs Madonna, misses his gay lover too. Funny how the Hollyweirdos and other liberal freaks like Dennis Rodman love them some dicktators. Sean Penn praises a tyrant who looted two BILLION dollars from his pepole, Walking Freakshow Dennis Dumbass Rodman actually praises North Korean dictator Kim Il Un, and Benicio del Toro praises a murderous criminal named Che. Oddly enough, it appears that ANOTHER liberal violated the Logan Act, like Hanoi Jane Fonda and Hanoi John Fonda Kerry did (more than once) and yet nothing is down about it.

I can understand why most of the posts have such a negative opinion of Hugo Chavez considering how the Media is today. The Media can make or break you and in this case they wanted to show nothing but bad propaganda on Hugo. In retrospect, most of his people along with South America, and surrounding countries/ islands where in support of his cause that would eliminate American/European Corporate intrusion on their economy and people. Bottom line is that American/European Corporations own most of them and has in place puppet governments so that the corporations can in essence run the country with no regard to the people who live there. We have been doing this to them for hundreds of years, and have perfected it through the use of the CIA and secret operations that even the president didn't even know about. Like the Bay of Pigs for example, Kennedy didn't even know about it. The people of South America know this all to well, especially Panama where thousands of civilians where killed in a U.S. midnight raid to capture Noriega who was put in power by President Bush himself when he was the Director of the CIA. The people pay the price while the foreign corporations rape them of their land freedom, and if someone tries to stand up for their rights, they are eliminated. I must say that it takes some balls to stand up the the U.S. like Hugo and others did, but in the end he paid the same price like the rest of them. No one can stand up to the ultimate power of the U.S., it's like us clubbing a baby seal to death and then our media calling it a "Great Success"...

You mean like they highly promoted obama? Generally, dictators are not welcomed in free societies. Their intentions have never been anything but self-serving!

I have to say that Chavez was a very important man to Latin America and the caribbean. He was a truth teller and most of today's leaders are not. He stood on the platform of the truth and for this reason, more than any, he won my respect. May he rest in peace and may the world look upon the outpouring of genuine love for this leader and take lessons. The truth is how you win the hearts of your followers; not by lies, deceptions, and arrogance.
Is this a joke?

I assume you are referring to the dictators that the U.S. have put into power for over 50 years before Obama? Ex; Iran, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Panama and all over South America? And further more, I did not vote for Obama, and it seems odd that you would jump to conclusion like that.

Pro-gun voters put heat on Dems...

Obama staying out of negotiations... Obama again comes in with all the pretty speeches against guns and the second amendment, then runs and hides before the fingers start pointing to him to be accountable for attacking the constatution and breaking his oath once more. Me thinks Obama's teflon is waring a bit thin.

You incorrectly infer I assumed you voted for anyone. I referred to how the media promotes or slanders based on their preferences. And, I use obama as example how the media is extreme. But to your other points, yes. The US does have a history of empowering some of the stupidest people.
