Judged: 1 1 1 Hooray for Florida! I-95 and I-75 will be jammed for the next month or so with druggies and deadbeats heading North out of Florida, because this is the first state in the union to require drug testing to receive welfare! Hooray for Florida! In signing the new law, Republican Gov. Rick Scott said, "If Floridians want welfare, they better make sure they are drug-free". Applicants must pay for the drug test, but are reimbursed if they test drug-free. Applicants who test positive for illicit substances won't be eligible for the funds for a year, or until they undergo treatment. Those who fail a second time will be banned from receiving funds for three years! Naturally, a few people are crying this is unconstitutional. How is this unconstitutional? It's a legal requirement that every person applying for a JOB has to pass drug tests in order to get the JOB, why not those who receive welfare? Let's get welfare back to the ones who NEED it, not to those who WON'T get a JOB. I AGREE, DO YOU? |

His drug testing company should also be prohibited from participating in this program. Evidently you slept through the civics class where they discussed the bill of rights! This is just more class warfare rethug style! |

Judged: 1 1 1 ----CARRIE SCOGGINS RUINED NAME SITE, Spring City Topix http://m.topix.com/forum/city/spring-city-tn/... I would be glad to see them drug test everyone getting food stamps, as it will prove how few people are on drugs in TN. This may help force an end to this money making scam of informants + surveillance, who need to keep up the wild exaggerations of numbers of people on drugs, in order for them to keep up the money making scam surveillancee has become. In Florida, where 49% of the population is on food stamps, the state spent 13 million a year to drug test all on food stamps, and only 32 people tested positive for drugs! **********Out of hundreds of thousands of people across that state, only 32 tested positive for drugs!*********They exaggerate the numbers in the media, keeping the lies about drugs on every corner, to keep that funding coming in yearly so they can keep up the money sucking scam. They want to make sure that their family can still mooch an informant check for walking by some one accused in the grocery store, or making sure they get a check for riding a bicycle in front of their home, 100 informants a day "watching," only one person for years on in, bankrupting the state with this scam stealing tax payer money. They want new cars and name brand clothes, and do not want to have to work a real job to obtain the money for these things, and since all they have to do is keep suspicion stirred up against some one, or tell a few fibs, to keep the money flowing in while not having to actually work for it... Well, any not too moral person would get involved, be "on the take," stealing tax payer money in this surveillance informant scam! There have been that many dishonest officers and informants doing this in Florida, we see as only 32 tested positive for drugs when they tested all food stamp receipients, and it was 49% of Florida's population! That is half Forida's population drug tested, costing millions, to find out only 32 people were on drugs! TN numbers will be that low too! It is exposing the exaggerated numbers law enforcement wanted told by the media in order to keep up their money making scam! |
