Imagine being part of a group that is fighting AGAINST Freedom of Speech. Or, to put it another way, imagine being a Scientologist and seeing your church fighting the EFF and other groups who support Free Speech.

Wouldn't you think they'd have second thoughts about whose side they're on?

"I'm a Scientologist, and we're fighting Freedom of Speech everywhere."

Hmmm?

"When comment was requested further to these earlier removal requests, Schaper stated that he was a "... very strong advocate for the Church of Scientology, the religion of Scientology and a free speech advocate.""

lol! A $cientologist for free speech? Good one!

I guess $cientology never learns. The more they try to silence critics the more people are drawn to expose the cult for what it is.

"The freedom of speech is not absolute. Legal systems, and society at large, recognize limits on the freedom of speech, particularly when freedom of speech conflicts with other values or rights.[12] Exercising freedom of speech always takes place within a context of competing values. Limitations to freedom of speech may follow the "harm principle" or the "offense principle", for example in the case of pornography or "hate speech".[13] Limitations to freedom of speech may occure through legal sanction and/or social disapprobation.[14]"
That can mean, bigots, that bigotry is not protected as "free speech," bigots, or, if you prefer to be called the politically different version, "hate speakers..." sorry about your loss -- don't let it rise your blood pressure too much

Like the "loss" when $cientology pulled the leaked Cruise video? That "loss" gave rise to Anonymous and, well, we all know how that worked out for you. Keep trying to silence critics and we'll just keep growing in numbers.

See you at the next protest!

Indeedy, every time they use their heavy handed approach, censoring the net or fair gaming someone, passers by, witnesses etc just become angered by it and turn against scientology.

Magoo was right, they really do make their own enemies.

Here' some word clearing for y'all -- you have been demonstrating it, so you know it already, through and through:

"bigotry
noun.

The attitude, state of mind, or behavior characteristic of a bigot; intolerance."

As an ethical condition one presumes you are in confusions, below treason to yourselves and the human race, as bigots in bigotry -- it is amusing to observe the bigots excluding others and reinforcing their personal bigotries, as they tell their bigoted tales to other bigots, exulting in their bigotry -- my needle is floating, how about yours?

It is amazing how very true this is. I've looked at this, picking a critic or a critical group and tracing it back. There at the start of it all is the church, doing something bad -- doing something illegal -- doing something stupid -- and then insisting it hadn't -- hurting people, something wrong. And then, step by step they take just the exact wrong actions. They cover it up, they lie, they harass, they sue. They never correct it, they never admit it.

If the church had done only one thing -- admit their mistakes, their errors, their missteps -- and fix those -- they would have a LOT fewer problems.

But they never learn. They can't learn. Unfortunately for them, this behavior is built into the very structure of the church by Hubbard.

Very true.$cientology is incapable of adapting; they act as though we don't live in the internet age and it's still the 1950's.

If an organization refuses to adapt they can't survive. And that's what we're seeing with $cientology.

Just because the crazy and dangerous space alien cult calls criticism "hate speech" doesn't make it hate speech. Neither are critics "bigots", anti-religious extremists" or "terrorists".

Want to check your prejudiced views on freedom of speech, go check www.religiousfreedomwatch.org .
Then come back and tell us what you think of it.
(Note: 99% of it is lies.)

You better start again with word clearing. because you still haven't a clue of what bigotry or a bigot is.
Intolerance? Your CULT lives by it.

By the way, when you have a floating needle it means you are hypnotized as your muscles stop twitching. In a normal mental condition your muscles ALWAYS twitch. Only when hypnotized they don't.

Playing with trolls is kind of like when my cat catches a lizard or frog and plays with it until something unfortunate happens, like it's tail comes off or guts come out. Then you can't play with it anymore.

I really would prefer they metaphorically spill their guts. If one of our trolls just threw their arms in the air and admitted what they were instead of lying right up until the end, it would probably do them good. For one thing it never does anyone any good to live a lie. It all wells up inside you and really messes you up.

Let's face it, confessing wouldn't benefit us, we already know who they are from experience. But they would be able to accept who they were much more easily also. They might then be able to have an open dialogue like a real and mature person. Who knows, they might be able to sway us in some way as un-indoctrinated people respond much better to someone who is honest and open.

Sadly we'll never see that I fear. The cult follows it's rules as laid out by convicted fraudster, Hubbard to the letter. They will never be able to be honest because his teachings and dirty tricks department will never let them.

They're used to doublespeak. They're also human rights activists (unless you're gay, black, or handicapped), mental health advocates (unless you're a pyschiatrist, psychologist, neurologist, or counselor), and pro-education (unless you're into that new-fangled critical thinking stuff...)
