So, what are you going to do with the combatants? Set them free? Several have, and they have been captured again trying to kill Americans. Bring them to the states? You want a guy who has used Islamic extremism in your neighborhood? Not I. So where are you going to put them? They are prisoners of war.

Bringing them to the states is a very bad idea. These people will not even think twice and take a bull knife and try to cut your head off. So lets bring them here, put them in our prison system and try them as if they are American? NOOOOOOOOOOO. They are not Americans and should not be eligible to set foot on our soil.

Even though this war is a sham, these are still prisoners of this BS war. Well, treat them like prisoners.

Well... we could offer them some free stuff.

How about
free healthcare
free income
set them up in businesses
let them bring over their extended families
give 'em new homes
no taxes of course
pay for their kids education at ANY university
build them a mosque
they will need new cars
free fuel for the cars

afterall its a free country

And what do you propose we do with those (most dangerous) prisoners?

Of course, this moron won't come back to answer this question, but we all knew that from the start.

Perhaps you'd like to take a few in at your house and be fully responsible for them, including any crimes they commit. Does that sound good? They kill someone, not only are they guilty of murder, but so are you. Can you handle that?

As soon as these POWs hit american soil they should have equal protection under our laws. Fair trials, lawyers provided, plead the 5th, access to ACLU, etc. They're also guaranteed a speedy trial and no cruel and unusual punishment.

I wonder how many cases will be dismissed due to prior torture and sitting 5 or 6 years in a prison with no charges.

None I hope. These people were incarcerated for trying to kill
Americans in an armed conflict, in case you have forgotten Trial my azz a tribunal would have sufficed. I sure as hell do not want this scum in a a stockade in my vicinity

They are not POW's. According to the Geneva Convention, one loses their protections as a POW for being a combatant dressing as a civilian. That's called being a spy, they do not get any protection because they them selves broke the rules. Just as a church or hospital has protected status, but loses that status it is used improperly. Learning the rules of land warfare is a great thing, the only problem is people who don't care what is says and want to give people rights that they do not have.

Gitmo in its simplest terms can be compared to South Park's episode with the underpants gnomes. In the episode, the underpants gnomes had specific steps.

Step 1. Steal everyone's underpants.
Step 2. No figured out yet.
Step 3. Profits.

Now compare that in its simplest terms to Gitmo.

Step 1. Shut down Gitmo
Step 2. What are we going to do with the prisoners? We do not know yet.
Step 3. The world will love us.

Daily Horoscope for December 26

Capricorn

Mercury retrograde in your sign will cause some friction between you and other people during coming weeks. Matters that have been bubbling away in the background will come to the boil, forcing you to do something about them. Try not to overreact, nor to create a crisis out of something that's really very minor. You should also keep a strong sense of fair play and pay attention to every little detail.
