In the end, the only track configuration suitable will be two for Cal-train and two for HSR...seperated and functioning safely independently for timely service that will provide for express as well as 'local' HSR for the system. Those Nimbies whose goal has always been to scrap the system will find their now acutely sharp thinking neighbors soon to out vote them in their abstructionist motives. They have no thought for the well being of the state and its transport needs. Long live immanent domaine!
