Tunisia is a beautiful country, which should be protected against any invasion of people who wish to impose outdated beliefs on the majority. If the men cannot do this, then I would urge all women in Tunisia to appoint a woman of peace to represent everyones future interest, only vote for her, and then you will be blessed with improving conditions, and the uprising, which has caused much suffering, will not be in vain. We of all faiths have to live, and work together, and I urge my sisters in Tunisia to rise up together, and take over, as this would be the greatest example, and absolute victory.

That would be a really good thing to happen but it wont, sadly Tunisia is on a path now that must be completed. there are millions of Tunisians who are sitting by doing nothing. So in the end they get what they dont fight for. The Salifast are nasty people but no one does anything to stop them.....first there was 1000, then 10,000 soon there will be more then maybe the millions will say oooops we should have got off our backsides before

Jesus! Why can't muslims just stay in their own dirty countries? They come West, hop on welfare and expect everyone else to kowtow to their barbaric religion and amoral customes

they dont stay in their own countries because they intend to rule the world...just think of it...most families have two or three children while a muslim family has many more children if they can,,,,,so just by shear numbers they will outnumber non muslims eventually. They aim first to conquer Europe then the rest of the world. Tha tis why someof them believe that the man should have many wives....that is so they can reproduce

They dont want peace they thrive on turmoil, one group will not criticize another really because they must stick together...they moan about the west not respecting Islam but they kill each other and dont allow the people to bury the dead....the dead should be buried before sundown...yet they shoot them and leave them in the streets...so they dont respect Islam...They are pigs....remember where ever they are they are always muslims first so will never integrate so they can never be trusted

My friend, good people come in all creeds, and those that offer help do so for the love of human kind, and those people exist in all parts of the world.Do not fall into the trap of believing that only bad exists, as the majority of people all over the world do want to live in peace together, but of course like every where else, the rich want to get richer, and to do so, they cause others to get involved to do the work for them, and then profit. So wake up, it could happen to us all. I have known Tunisia for 25 years, and I do know that they are warm, and friendly people, and I realy wish them well, and do hope that a woman leads them to a better future.

So true. If I an Ameriacan travel to Tunisia to set up an solar powered electrical generator am I likely to be bothered by people?

I am in contact with the government, I think, so it is a possibility I might try to work with them to build same even if I do not travel there.

Would I be safe to travel there?

there are many people to bribe before you can get anything done so be prepared for that. you would be safe to travel in some areas but not others....so you would need to have a guide perhaps.....the government is very currupt and part of the reason many companies have not gone there is because of this reason....equally the reason many companies have left is the same.
the revolution sadly has brought out the worse in people. Unemployment and rising expenses have made people live in fear and do things out of desperation that they would not have done before. the crime rate is on the rise and there are many who will take advantage of a tourist if possible.
if you go take precautions and remember to sign in at the embassy as you arrive. you can hire guides if you want one let me know...but be aware and do not trust the friendly faces...they are not all genuine

So life is the same everywhere, trust no one, crime is going up, you need a guide, even for those trying to do good things. Note, I expect a letter from the government in the mail. If I get it I will explain the idea I wrote about. I will not travel there unless I must, it would be better if they just try to build working model based on directions given from here.
