Governor Palin shocked just about everybody yesterday. "I will not seek reelection as governor." She will step down at the end of the month.

The Los Angeles Times is reporting the Alaska spokesman for the FBI, Eric Gonzalez, says the feds are not investigating the governor or getting ready to indict her.

"It's just not true," he told the paper.

Eric is the end all be all of FBI investigations in Alaska, lol. Eric is an, Applicant Coordinator SSA, not a special agent or investigator.

How patriotic of Palin & Van Flein to attack the First Ammendment on the 4th of July. This defamation charge is ridiculous & why just go after Shannyn Moore? Why now? This & many other rumors have been around since Oct 2008. Clearly since Palin can't sue the entire internet, she picked the one person in AK who is frequently interviewed on the national news. I hope Palin does sue Shannyn Moore, MSNBC, Huffington Post, Daily Kos, and the New York Times. It is time she fight back against all the unfounded allegations hurled at her. I have lived in Alaska for 32 years. I don't belong to either political party, and I have NO respect for SP. She has accomplished nothing in her year as gov except to put herself and her family in the media spotlight.

Here here, snowlady - I am a lifelong Alaskan who also has ZERO respect for her. I'll admit, when she entered the Alaskan political arena I was initially impressed, and was hopeful that good things would come from her.

But then came the run for VP, and when the dust had settled and our Governor had returned, She just wasn't the same.

I think that national politics have skewed her view of what's important, and she no longer cares about who or what happens to her home state. She just wants to be in the national media spotlight.

So I suppose I do agree with one of her recent decisions after all... if you no longer care what happens here, then leave.

Sarah Palin is just another bully, and Ms Moore is right to stand up to her. How anyone in public life expects to file a defamation lawsuit in the United States baffles me. If Ms Palin doesn't like being questioned or pilloried in the public limelight, then she should never have gone into politics. Check out Dick Cheney for someone who knows you have to have a thick skin to be in politics.
