Estela, I have been your viewer and admirer since you started broadcasting in Spanish; you have a beautiful smile that goes with your personality I personally saw you and your mother at Dillards at Cielo Vista and was tempted to say hello and ask for your authorgraph. You look wonderful in this picture taken in your home, as with wine your beuty is ageless. Now is the time for you to take care of yourself so you can get well and help others. With my respect to a great human being.

All of us experience those "bumps in the road" of life, which I believe is God's way of humbling us and forcing us to take a few moments to reflect on life. This life review is an opportunity to right the wrongs and to be thankful for what we have - not material things but family and friends. So, Estela, use this time as it was intended and all will be well; it's that inner peace we all seek and so few of us find.

My prayers go out to estela,my wife is a 10 year breast cancer survivor so I know what she and her family are going thru.I just wish the ep times and tv media would take the time to go to the el paso cancer treatment center and report on some of the survivors there who have been fighting this illness for years, excuse me if I sound selfish. It seems its only reported when a well known el paso figure is battling this illness.

My mother had cancer in the esopaghus and was operated in 1993, she lived to be 87 and in fairly good health. My wishes are that you live to be 100 and continue to care for your husband and children. Please do not give up, you have so much to live, I propose that the Star in the Mountain be named after you.

Estella was at the Oncology clinic yesterday, where my husband is being treated for colon cancer. Even though she was going for treatment, she was dressed in a pretty coat and her hair and makeup were perfect. She is a trooper for being there by herself with sick people all around her and even though she was probably recognized being the local celebrity she is, no one wanted to bother her. I wanted to say hello and wish her well. I will do it in this forum, praying for her, my husband and all those who are ill with diseases of all kinds.

Nothing against Estella, or Christopher Reeve, but there are millions of everyday people afflicted with worse who don't have the money or fame and the press ignores them.
Celebrities like Authur Ashe and Freddie Mercury who suffer without the limelight....now you're talking.

You're just trying to be negative. My Mother died of pancreatic cancer, you don't see me complaining that she didn't get the attention Estella is getting. Estella, unlike the unknown, has the potential to do some good work from this, being such a high profile person in our community. God, perhaps just touches small areas at a time...i think you should be thankful that this doesn't happen to you or someone you love, and just try to wish her the best without comparing to other people, that in your opinion should have gotten more attention. She's done a lot for our community with her volunteer work and strong voice, i think she deserves this little attention and well wishes from her city.

Estela is beautiful inside and out. She has done a lot of good to educate us on a lot of different topics including those that affect her personally such as pregnancy over 40 and thyroid disease. She is such an inspiration and a good role model. Thank you, Estela, you are awesome and I will keep you in my prayers.

My Dear Estela, do you see how people love you? I know you will be reading this comment soon, and I hope you will believe that people care about you, and your well being. I've seen Celina Avila sitting in for you while you were on vacation. She is doing a wonderful job, please guide her, and take her under your wing.

Welcome back Estela.
