So not only did I have cooking duty but since I don't drink my butt didn't get home until just now. I drove my buddy home (about 25miles away) then we played 9 ball and watch the Pats go down. We be tied......until next week. And we're on the 'flex schedule' so I bet they move Phi vs Chi for our game. Must go see what happened with Orton, I noticed on the stats that Simms was 3-13 and an INT????

No, I stated that in 1960 only about 44% of adults aged 25 and older had a high school diploma. That would reflect more on the graduation rates of 1953 and earlier. On average, you would be correct. However, that does not mean that those at the top are any less educated. Again, this has to do with what we as a nation think the purpose of HS is. If it is to prepare students for college, then maybe a 70% graduation rate may be a little high. If it is to prepare young people for college and/or to enter the workforce then maybe 80 - 85% is acceptable. But is should be self-evident that depending on what we decide we want, the standards and the graduation rates will change.

Commercial aircraft manuals are furnished by the constructing firm and any furnishings that require manuals are provided by whomever provides the furnishings. Most manuals are online and are updated online. Military aircraft: The military pays the manufacturer to write the maunual, this is to include sensitive avionics, radar and other eltro-optical devices. Many firms hire ex-military who were trained by the military and require little further training. They also partner with local colleges to provide training at the students cost so little training is required on hire.

But Capital gains by definition have never been taxed, at least at the federal level. And since the federal level allows you to deduct investment costs (to include taxes) from your profit, they really have not been taxed. Evidently you conviently forgot that fact.

My point was (and remains) that income derived from other people's work (dividends, interest, most capital gains, most rent) should be taxed at least as highly as income from one's own work. You're welcome to keep arguing with points I haven't made if that makes you feel better tho.

He's just a typical LIB (aka socialist), he hates those who succeed. Dividends are paid out of a corporation's retained earnings, which is accrued post-tax income--but corporations have a knack for piling up the retained earnings without paying much in taxes (or even getting refunds). So the whole tax-twice thing is mostly myth. But since dividends are the opposite of investment, the more highly they are taxed the more likely a corporation is to reinvest retained earnings in something productive. And if you ever succeed in making sense, I will be the first to congratulate you. You've got a ways to go tho.
