Good for Kassim al-Ghasali. Whenever a Muslim escapes from the yoke of Islam, it's is a good day.

Quote from the article,“Any moderate Muslim who would like to reform Islam should admit to himself that terror and violence are in the Quran. The unmitigated horror. But no Muslim could admit that the Quran is a politically — and historically-determined book — and not the word of Allah.”

It doesn't appear that reform is possible, muslims would have to let go of the irrational hatred and the violence.

Islam does not need to be reformed. It is just perfect the way it is.

Again, sounds just like christianity and its bible...but also again, same god so no surprise.

in fact, how is it different from any religious cult?

it would seem none of them can be reformed.

like not believing in the same god...(or worshipping him the same way even,) is reason to kill.

pretty much standard dreck for all religious cults. your cult is no different.

You seem to have some difficulty with your attention span. Perhaps you could point to where in my post I extolled the virtues of christianity.

For starters, Christianity has a savior that offers mercy grace, forgiveness and salvation.

Islam has?

Just that alone proves they are not worshipping the same God. The same God wouldn't inspire 2 very different theologies. God inspired one, the other was inspired by ancient tribes who were scared of the moon.

Take a copy of the koran. Cross out all the verses which demand violence and intolerance of non believers, then see how much is left.
Next cross out those which demean women, which demand stoning for any reason.

What is left???

Define perfect? The world sees islam as a terror organization, which promotes, FGM, hate, greed, lies, pedophillia, racizm, and murder. What is it you see? Many muslims are turning away from the teachings of mohamed because they see his hypocritical rants for what they are, the ravings of a lunatic. these days someone who hears voices is usually put in a padded room and given medicine, and I think you will find there are very few who will listen to his ravings.
Just because mohamed lived a couple of hundred years ago, it still means he was either lying, he was insane or both. you have read the koran seen the way he lived and heard what he said, lets be honest this could only have come from a mad man. so what dose that say about the ones who follow him?

The Koran is the literal word of god according to Islam. To reform Islam you would need to reform god. It's quite difficult to do as he is dead.

Islam is a politcal movement that seeks to subjugate people just like communism, only worse as it uses God. I sincerely hope the next nuclear bomb drop will not have to be on a muslim country, but I have my doubts.

yes, that is pretty correct, along with the other religions that worship the same god, christianity and judaism. It's a cult, just like every other religion.
