I don't think I have a ticket coming,,,Yet. But as I pasted through your nice town I was very upset that the stop lights changed so quickly that it was unsafe for me to stop so fast as to lead to being rear ended, and I was not speeding either.
So this leads me to making a comment on site and my concern for others safety as well as mine.
As I have been informed that now the nice little city is on the speed trap list of the United States.
If this helps anyone good, if not I have expressed my regards to this problem.......

Dunnellon has NEVER been a speed trap. In factor b4 redlight cams, hardly ever saw a cop car at all. I have seen motorists perform dastard dangerous road rage oriented tactics at the merge going North out of dumbellen on 41. There needs to be a restrictive gore on that entire section, or bubba redneck unemployed will still floorboard his hemi to demonstrate his goober mentality. The state should have fixed that when they widened the road. Same is true at the other end of town where I've often seen bubbettes pull up to the lite, full well knowning they'll have to race to get ahead in the next 30 feet...and for what.. My car has nothing to prove.

They can have their red light camera's as long as they increase the yellow light time by one second. It is a well known statistical fact, Georgia Tech traffic que time survey, that "red light" citations decrease by 80% when one second is added to the yellow timing sequence.

I don't go to Dunnellon anymore. I go to the Walmart in Inverness instead.

I haven't gotten a ticket, but I despise the policy of government generating revenue at the detriment of it's citizens, when it's done just for the purpose of generating revenue.

Their alleged concern for safety is just smoke that everyone sees through.

I received a citation for going through the light in Dunnellon. The yellow light is not long enough to allow you to stop while going the speed limit. Regardless I paid the bill. Two weeks later I received another bill for $114 more! I called and found out they rejected my payment because it was 2 days late. They do not give you enough time to get through the light and they do not give you enough time to pay the bill. Next time I will sit my ass n the middle of the intersection and let everyone go around me.

Has anyone tried the reflective spray paint that prevents the camera from capturing the tag info. It's $20 bucks a can. May have to do this as Dunnellon is definitely exploiting the situation. Unfortunately several downtown merchants are suffering. I drive to Ocala to shop and avoid unless it's an emergency.
