Lankford must have been sniffing or drinking that termite bug juice. What a pitty he won't tell us the real story or maybe he can't with his brain cells gone. What a dummy!

This guy and his lawyer is dumber than dirt if they think the jurors will believe his stupid story...he will not leave prison alive. no parole..no furlough...just endless time in protective custody..unfortunately the tax payers will end up paying the bill for this psychopath killer.

What a fairy tale. He was spooked by the threat of the man calling the police. Why would he stop in an area where his parked truck could be seen by anyone driving by in either direction. In testimony, he said after he dumped the body at sea, he disposed of the shovel, tape ect. in a dumpster. Sadly to say, I believed that is where he placed the bag with the body, in a dumpster. It would look like any other bag of trash. It would make the most sense. He must have been under time pressure to get rid of the body. If it were me, I'd be grilling him on what was the location of the dumpster he tossed
the items. Try to establish a timeline from leaving Kahana , dumping the body at sea, disposing the shovel, bags, tape etc. and arriving at home. In his fairy tale, he says he was trying to find a peaceful spot for Masumi.
This is the direct opposite where her body ended up, buried in a trash heap.

He claimed the Japanese girl hit her head on the rock.

Let's do a lumin blook test on that rock.

She's no longer alive to refute any make-up story to make himself not a murderer.

What a tall tale.

C'mon folks, as frustrating as it is, the lawyer and the entire trial would be lost in appeal if he didn't try his best to get the killer off. The fairy tale is the most feasible lie he can make up and tell with a straight face. His lawyer would be negligent if he did any differently. If the killer gets off, it's the jury that will do it, not the lawyer.

It is interesting to see him lie and act and sob but in the end we want the truth and justice.

Him in jail and somehow someone will find her body buried. He said Kualoa but must be the opposite direction towards Haaula.

Give him a chance to do what? Kill again? Hs is a sociopath and Psychopath. He would rather lie than tell the truth. I know him. I asked his father 3 years ago as I was packing my bags "What is it going to take, Howard? Does one of them (Howard has three sons, and only one that seems to have a conscience) have to kill someone before you take action?" This isn't the first time that Kirk has been in trouble. But is the first time he has been religious. I wonder if he has been hiding behind his church. I ask myself now, "all those nights when he disabled the security alarm and climbed out his window, what was he doing?" I am really surprised that his brother Ryan hasn't been in the news. These are not good people. They do not have a consciene. They are wired differently than most people and have been brought up to feel superior from other people with nothing to back it up. Kirk's father and I have had many arguments about his sons and their behavior and his lack of doing anything about them. He accused me of attacking his parenting skills. Howard didn't and still doesn't have any parenting skills. If you read this Howard, why don't YOU do the right thing and insist that Kirk tell the parents of that young woman where her body is so that they can bring her home? Oh, I forget. You don't ask your boys to do anything. They know what your expectations are. How many times have they not met your expectations Howard? And now my fears have come to pass. A young woman is dead. I hope they do lock Kirk up. This wouldn't be the last "kill" that he would do. My feelings and beliefs are, " Kirk is just getting started".

Too cool calm and collected. I'll bet he's done this happen before. Maybe not to this extent.
Besides, the current in that beach wouldn't take a sealed body out. Triple wrapped, taped, It'd float for a long time, right back to shore.
Yep I agree..Hang him.

This guy's a miserable excuse for an adult and a human being. Assuming he's telling the truth, and it wasn't even worse than this, he's so dodgy and weaselish that it didn't once figure into his plan that she had a family who would want very, very badly to know what happened to her. This guy's a bottom-feeder who can dehumanize this woman he carelessly hit. I feel awful for her... clearly, she was studying, making much more of her life than he'd ever make of his.

He's full of it, the body would have gassed and popped up within 48 hrs., of the disposal in the ocean. He did not want authorities to find the body because forensics would find his DNA as a result of a rape. The victim's body is probably in the Pupukea area, where he encountered her.
If he is a Christian, he should know he will never get eternal forgivness from the Creator if he continues to lie about the crime and the whereabouts of the victim's body..what a despical human being.

They searched the ocean for days, he said a shark ate her. You're right, her remains are somewhere under the sand or in the jungle. I hope he's getting beaten every day in prison.

She's the Japanese student that was murdered out on the North Shore. Her body hasn't been found yet, but her killer is in prison.
