This is the same thing that the administrators do at the school district. Spend money to go to a nice hotel, golf, eat, drink, and then turn in their receipts and get reimbursed. All the while the "workers' are still at the district working doing their jobs.Total waste of money, why do they do it? Because they can!
They call it the Administrators Retreat. What do they learn? They learn how to turn in their food bills, mileage, hotel bills and get fatter and fatter. Have you seen the superintendent lately and the school principals? FAT CATS living high on the HOG with tax payers money. Students? Ah... what's that? Teachers? Ah....what's that? Classified employees? Ah....what's that?
Better yet, let's just stay at the district and celebrate the opening of a new toilet! Hey El Monte council members, you better get on that meal ticket, call the superintendent of the El Monte City School district and he will tell you about the retreats that he has been on. Oh, wait, but last year it was downsized. Yeah, just like their morals!
You failed to mention that 99% of the administrators and teachers in our El Monte Schools do not live in El Monte. Most classified employees do.

Why does this matter? The highly paid "visitors" here come and go--they go with the moneys we pay in taxes. They spend these $$$$ outside of El Monte. They actively
pushed for bond issues--we got them and WE get to pay for them. THEY DON'T!

They actually convinced El Monteans (the renters) that their "evil" landlord would have to pay for the bonds--and not them. Do it for the kids, if you care--that's the
sales pitch.

Well, the bonds we got. Impact? The renters had their rents shot up and they left.

This is why Mulhall and Norwood closed. Next will be Cleminson, Rio Vista, or Cortada.

Talk about being honest and sincere!

Administrators and teachers in El Monte, PLEASE MOVE IN AND HELP US PAY THE BILLS.
