Walmart expanded, what a joke! They are just trying to fleece Ukiah customers more than they do now. Their quality of goods is horrible. Why would I want more of their low quality merchandise? The other reason why I think is a bad idea is because they are acting like they are playing monopoly, everything for them and no one else!
One other thing, they need to work in improving what they have as well as providing better services to the community they served.

then shut it all down, and let everyone go to the unemployment line or walfare, and the money will come out of your check to help support them.

The more we allow these older "I eat granola on the hillside while Peter, Paul, and Mary take me to a new high." individuals to strangle our community in the vain hope of making it the "Haight and Ashbury" of California, the more vacant lots and unemployment we will have. Ukiah needs to grow to survive and to grow we need businesses that will thrive and provide jobs. At least at Wal-Mart it's not about who you know or are related to that gets you a job like most of these "local" businesses.

What's even better is someone using Food Maxx as the newest possible victim of Wal-Mart when in fact they used Food Maxx as the culprit in the downfall of Raley's and Safeway back when it was proposed. Wish they would make up their minds while eating that granola on the hillside.

Welcome WalMart Superstore !!! Lower prices means more money in my pocket and not the pocket of some over priced downtown hemp weaver.

I think it was Kramer who said that the biggest social event of Ukiah is when the ladies of the radical branch of Conservative Republicans meet at sundown on Sunday night to applaud while illegal immigrants unload the huge trucks of Chinese imports to Walmart.

Is that true?

I would not know.

I never go there.

I say make Wal Mart clean up their parking lot from illegal camping, urinating, alcohol drinking, drug binging, pan handling & loitering before we consider letting them expand their store.

They are currently "NOT A GOOD UKIAH NEIGHBOR" by continually allowing these activities in their parking lot.

How about it Wal Mart?

Any chance the Ukiah/Wal Mart Police Department will ever enforce the laws and take care of this problem.

Probably not.

The Ukiah/Wal Mart Police Department fiercely enforces any alleged shoplifting activity in their store, but chooses to completely ignore the illegal parking lot activities. This goes the same for Jack In The Box. Only the Quick Stop store & gas station tries to do something about this problem in this area.

Wal Mart Allows overnight stays at all its stores. They generally have plug ins for RVs if you ask the manager. Why do you not go to the city council and press for an ordinance and enforcement of said ordinance.
