Only if another person would have run we could have gotten rid of Lotz and Burris. Next up Bowser.

I agree we need a total change in the trustees office. We are on our way to breaking up that little inner circle.
Let's just see what Stage hands Lotz as an "appointment" or job.

I filed a petition to run but my petition was denied due to a technicality. I appealed with an attorney to no avail. I will be running for the next available election for trustee.

I assume that those of you who don't like Burris or Bowshier are also looking to raise township taxes, like Hawk? How much did the firefighters and their union spend to get Hawk elected?

I lived in this town practically all my life and I have never heard a bad word about Burris, Lotz or Bowsher.

And Bodie bad mouths Steve Bennett constantly, yet he won his council seat by 72% of his citizens' vote.

If you have something on these 4 men, bring it on and out publicly, something you have failed to do to this point.

Did Hawk really spend $70,000 on her campaign? Really and why?

Logic would tell anyone that the office of township trustees exists in Jackson Twp to just run the fire department. We would be better served if the department were to become a city service.
We are not that many years away from seeing all of the townhsip annexed by Columbus, Grove City and Urbancrest.
Removing one level of government that is outdated has to be a good thing AGREED ?????
Grove City could take over the fire department like Worthington did theirs some years back. Regardless we will likley see a metro fire department in Franklin County like most major counties in the country have.

Bodie, we finally agree with something.

I suggest you try to get that proposal of city incorporation on the ballot for the citizens to vote. There might be efficiencies and savings via streamlining.

In the meantime we should avoid speaking of the trustees negatively as I feel they are trying to professionally preform their duties. I thank Lotz for his service and wish Hawk, Burris and Bowsher the best in service.

Chew On This FACT Jeff

Bill Lotz and his fellow trustees voted to give thousands to the city "Mayor Grossman" for the Big Splash pool project on the pretext it would mean that townhsip residents would then be able to buy pool memberships.(There are no numbers available to say how many township residents did)
In return Mayor Grossman hired Bill Lotz due to his "expertise" to act as chief inspector for the Big Splash pool project and paid him $15,000.00
I would prefer as most would to thank Bill Lotz for ripping off the taxpayers of Grove City and Jackson Township.

Are township residents allowed to buy memberships? If so, that promise was kept.

The fact that Mr. Lotz was hired as the inspector is politics 101. Just look at what happened yesterday on the health care reform, all kinds of horse trading occurred to make it happen. The horse trading included not only deals among democrats regarding abortions, but with AARP, drug companies, several hospital groups, etc.

What was the going rate for chief inspector of such a project? Was $15,000 too much? I heard Mrs. Daphne Hawk had her attorney down at the Township building constantly during this campaign and found no irregularities during this process. And the basis of this inquiry was focused on the "Big Splash." Do you think the timing of this inquiry was a little suspect considering the Big Splash was built 8-10 years ago?

Since Mrs. Hawk's attorney found nothing to date, and I assume her attorney will no longer be frequenting the Township building since the election is over, I prefer to thank Mr. Lotz for his services.

Hey Bodie and Grovetucky. Are you one in the same person?

Where I find one, I find the other. And the comments are always of the same nature.

Did Mrs. Hawk really spend $70,000 on her campaign and did that include the attorney fees?

And did her husband really want the job initially but his employer said no?

I do not know these answers, but you seem to be from that camp and possibly could answer the same.

I do sincerely wish Mrs. Hawk well in her new capacity.

Jeff you are not part of the solution you are part of the problem.

As far as Lotz "inspecting" the pool he took a vacation during part of the construction. Quite a paid vacation. Timing was excellant. He got a kick back on his vote to give the township money to the pool. Per capita population in the township didn't justify the size of the "contribution".

If Hawk spent $70,000 the firefighters union is a national and they have deep pockets. I think that 70K is a bit much when 10K would do it.

It is sad the money needed to run for a local office that only pays a few bucks per month.

How long did construction take and how long was the vacation?

What was the going rate for a chief inspector, is $15,000 too much?

Are you and Grovetucky the same person?

What was the Townships contribution, what was the total pool costs?

Why did Hawk's attorney not find any of this info upon inspection of the Township records during the campaign? Is the attorney incompetent or was nothing there?

And lastly, if you knew all of the above answers, why did you not report the same to the authorities years ago?

These questions are legitimate follow-up questions to your accusations.
