Good start for "TarGay"! The "apology" was a stupid move for a highly abstract grievance (gay marriage is not currently legal).

In terms of business, serious stock analysts probably know about this but most of the public/Targay shoppers are unaware of this controversy. Any further publicity on this will hurt Targay.

g-del, just how many taxes do you think Target pays? Seriously! They are big business and use their clout to blackmail the state of Minnesota and the US government out of paying their share of taxes. When big business' donate that much money, they are gearing up for tremendous favors in the future! It shouldn't be allowed nor should you supporters be jumping up and down because they happen to represent how you feel about a controversial issue.
As for giving people "careers", you all better be very careful with what you say. Target has and will continue to make sure that their in-store managers and such do not have "careers" there. They are not only against domestic partners getting benefits, they discriminate based on AGE. Just happened to my brother-in-law. Superb employee canned for no reason. NONE! Except next year he would have been entitled to retirement health insurance.
So the next time you all, who support the business practices of this monster called TARGET,shop and spend all your money, remember that they are only in it for themselves. They could care less about you or anyone else. The top dogs wouldn't lower themselves to "humanize" anyone "lower" than themselves. The bottom line is that they don't want to give anyone anything that would take out money out of their own pockets.
If we don't take a stand against companies like Target for these issues, you conservatives will be next. Or, perhaps, you will just open your wallet and hand over all your dollars like drones because they epitomize your personal beliefs.
I personally will not shop at Target again. I am taking a stand against this company. If you don't, shame on you. But when your relative is fired by Target because they are over the age of 50 or any other reason that has no justification, don't look any further than the mirror for blame. If you support any discrimination, because you personally are against someone's lifestyle or whatever reason, you are part of the problem...not the solution. Maybe you too believe that people over 50 shouldn't have a safe and secure job either because Target is such a wonderfully conservative company.
I Plea with all that read this. BOYCOTT TARGET!!!! If you are sick of it's practices such as AGE DISCRIMINATION and such.....Boycott this company!

This started out as Target supporting a canidate that supported business. Then someone decided to take this in a disjointed direction into the bedroom.

IT's about corportate greed. Whatever they can do to keep money in their pockets...they will. Even making sure outstanding and loyal employees don't ever see their rewards. They get FIRED without cause based on their age. So, yes, it is about jobs.

The "coloreds", as you call them, really hate being equated with the gays. Those "coloreds", your word, were a large part of the victory of Prop 8 in CA.

I rated your post 'clueless' because of your borderline paranoid and extreme point of view. IF your brother-in-law was discriminated against as you suggest, then he has a legal case and can file with the EEOC and MN Dept. of Labor. If not, then maybe he wasn't carrying his own weight and likely needed to be kicked to the curb long ago (& not due to the "age" excuse). Your age shouldn't give you any special rights or excuse for doing a poor job. Otherwise, your bitter rant seems pretty baseless.

"Fred Sainz, an HRC spokesman, said Target and his group had reached two tentative agreements over the last couple of weeks for the discount retail giant to give money to various gay-lesbian-bisexual-transgend er causes in Minnesota.

"Then when we were ready to pull the trigger, literally at the 11th hour on two occasions, they pulled back and said they were not ready to proceed," Sainz said.

"They said no deal. They said it was over." "

GOOD! Take away the 'domestic partner' benefits too. Teach these leftist bullies that there are consequences for their stupid grandstanding.
