PC shuts down request
The Russellville Planning Commission unanimously struck down a rezoning request to change property on Vancouver Avenue from R-1 to C-4 , a measure that if passed, would have allowed the opening of a Walmart Neighborhood Market in the area between West Main Street and West Second Place.

Not surprising, We know that the powers-to be would not want to do anything to promote any new business or jobs for this "retirement community". They have too many "hoops" for you to jump thru to start any kind of business here. I would be curious if anyone else feels the same way trying to deal with the city of Russellville. I am not standing up for Walmart, it seems to be the same for almost any new business that trys to locate here.
