Joe Bellamy was inspirational, a beautiful person inside and out. His loss is a terrible blow to all who were blessed to know him.

Joey, Gordon and Susan will be missed forever. They
were part of my family. I know they are up there
with their father, aunts and uncles having a good time like ONLY the Bellamy's know how to do. We
love you.

My sympathies to the family's survivors, INCLUDING Joe's life partner of 6 years, Eric Breidenbaugh.
I am both saddened and disappointed that in the United States, in 2008, that Florida (and other states) do not have a law which allowed Eric to receive the information that his partner had died directly from the airport. INstead, apparently he learned of the fatal crash on the television news. If you loved this family and/or have any compassion in your heart, PLEASE fight for laws in EVERY state that recognize same-sex committed relationships as equal in their love and entitlement to be informed of their partners' health and other critical information.
