Hi

This happened again yesterday, 14th July 2012 British airways flight, BA2726 from LGW to IBZ. They knew there were technical problems with the replacement aircraft but still decided to fly. Mid-flight pax were informed that there were " technical problems" and the flight turned back to LGW to make an emergency landing - minus the hydraulic breaks.

I suspect this happens a lot but the press only get hold of it a) if it causes major disruption and b) there is a disaster.

It is worrying. I appreciate airlines are businesses but they should not gamble with lives and with their reputations.
