El Paso County Judge Escobar Names Lawyer To Replace Gandara

El Paso County Judge Veronica Escobar has appointed attorney Tania Chozet as Commissioner of Precinct 3, which was left vacant by Willie Gandara Jr., who resigned last week after he was arrested on federal drug trafficking charges.

She is a smart one well schooled on both coasts. Alot smarter then the one that appointed her. I don't think she is into the drug seen blue collar stuff like Willie more into the white collar stuff than is more that likely to cover her bases real well. Lets rule out the fact she grew up and has family around here. Why is she hanging around here when there are other places she could do rather well besides this crummy place?

Gladly. Since you live in MO, you may not be aware of the terrible things going on in this community. Many residents here live in constant fear of ICE raiding them and separating families from one another. Another issue is the lack of funding for women's health services. I don't just mean contraception that everyone is talking about but other important services that are necessary for women to receive equal treatment. Also, the fact that there are so many dropouts from school is further evidence of the cultural bias that is evident in our school systems. There are many more issues, but if she would tackle these three it would be a great start.

I am truly amazed how easily El Pasoans are impressed with degrees, especially Ivy League. Ivy league is code for you got the big money or a token minority on a scholarship. She should have been vetted first. We have a Columnia graduate and look at bizarre decisions that they made. This is why El Paso is in a mess, all you have to do is produce a degree and it is assumed that you are a genius. That's not what colleges do or designed to do. Before you get started, yes, I have a degree. You still require hands off training.
