McCain says Guantanamo has hit image of US hard

The United States' treatment of prisoners in Guantanamo Bay and Iraq has done serious damage to the country's image abroad, Republican Senator John McCain was quoted as saying by a German paper on Saturday.

Though his motivation may be political in nature, at least he (McCain) is speaking out. What will it take to awaken the American public to the total disaster the Bush presidency as been not only for the U.S. but the entire civilized world?

It's enlightening, whatever his motive that Mccain has recognized that Concentration camps are not good for the image of the US. Many of us have said this for years however.
