"Abortion is SAFER than carrying a pregnancy to term"?! You'll need present FACTS on that my dear, or look like a fool to make that claim.
I'm sorry, Lynne but this is true. Its been presented here with backing statistics many times.

If you really need someone to wade back through the posts of the last year to find that info, I'll do it sometimes. Or you could peruse the info yourself. Its here to be found, probably in one of the threads with more than a thousand posts and likely from the months between July and September. AFter that point, I stopped using so many stats because people kept bringing up the same points ad nauseum and it was tiresome proving for the 100th time that abortion is safer than childbirth, that abortion does not cause breast cancer, and that there is no pain or fetal viability in the first or second trimester.

Oh,and BAA just posted a few links with stats as well. Since you two love each other, you'll probably spend some time bashing her now and her right back, but if you just check her link I think you might find what you've requested.

Ami , Sage , Denise and Laura_Hunt are VERY easy to discuss issues with. I admire them greatly for being able to KINDLY disagree!
Thanks Kristie - I'm really swamped with work but try to follow along to see if there is anything new. I think by now we all pretty much understand where we are all coming from...lol.

Have a good day.

I remember Denise and I having our moment (Denise ~ Im sure you remember it too) I let my feelings get hurt and over reacted a bit ~( I am a "feely" sort of person but I cant help it )
Long Distance Phone Commercials choke me up ~ lol!
But truly when I realized that MOST folks here dont mean anything toward ya PERSONALLY? I began to see how intelligent she is and what she could offer toward the discussion. I also VERY much admired how she could NOT appreciate BAA's "there's NO GOD" crap but just laugh it off instead of giving her ammunition to come back at! If I could change ONE thing about My personality it would be the ability to just IGNORE drama.....
Dang ! I sure HOPE that came out right ?
The reason you and I can discuss things like adults is that we both have the capacity to understand, as your post reflects, each other's differences and styles. Thanks for the compliiments. We all have our strengths and weaknesses.

One of mine is pizza...lol. Weakness, that is ;)

One more thing, Kristie - it's much easier to ignore something than not do - otherwise, it never ends and frustration just keeps creeping up.

No one will ever change anyone else's behavior - ever. Maybe at gunpoint, but even then, a choice can be made.

And that pretty much gets down to what many say here - no one can make someone do, or not do, something they are prepared, or not prepared, to do - in any situation!

Why make yourself crazy over it? Right?

Lynne ( I love you ) Your heart is BEAUTIFUL and Denise ( I love you ) Your heart is also ~
And while we disagree in several aspects of this sad sad sad lil "online debate" (( ie WE ARE NOT changin the world on these forums....))
It is good to know the feelings and reasoning's of others!
I told my hubby yesterday that I had NEVER had even a CLUE as to what was REALLY "OUT THERE" until I started visiting these sites....
Yeah! I AM VERY naive and GREEN as some would call it...its truly scary.. bc I was SURE that the majority would feel as I feel....
Ive found its just NOT true! Am I frightened? A little... Am I disappointed? A bit...... BUT surprised? Naw....
I DID see LION KING.....lmao!(for those that DONT know? THAT is a JOKE!)
Do any of us have all the answers? unfortunately ~ NO! We are ALL a product of our environment!
We all have something to contribute. As much as I don't care for abortion, I will always strongly support one's privacy and their choices - about anything, even if I don't agree with them.

Thanks for your nice words.

First of all judges are not doctors, secondly there is no medical reason there should be a partial birth abortion to save a mothers life. The reason bc if the baby can be delivered there is no reason why the baby cannot try to be saved with all of the medical advances a baby can be saved as young as 21 weeks gestation. 24 weeks having a greater advantage of surviving! There are plenty of women who are put on bed rest in the hospital for months and most can be saved by medications and doctors care. If not they are taken in for emergency c sections and saved. The large percentage of women are either found to be in danger early on in pregnancy not needing a partial birth abortion, or late in pregnancy (usually late 3 term) and the need for abortion is not needed bc the baby can be saved as well as the mother. Furthermore, women have forgotten what is means to be a mom, and those who have not forgotten know that they would give their loives in order to save the life of their children, and understand that just because you cannot see the baby's face doesn't mean it is still not their baby.,

Lets try this one more time....
DOCTORS ON BOTH SIDES OF THIS ISSUE, THOSE SUPPORTING THE BAN AND THOSE OPPOSED WERE PAID.
THE JUDGES WERE COMMENTING ON THE TESTIMONY OF DOCTORS ON BOTH SIDES OF THE BAN.
Do you understand that yet?
Now carefully read the following comments of the judges who have heard and considered ALL OF THE MEDICAL TESTIMONY ON BOTH SIDES and comment on the FACTS that they have found about the D&X procedure:
"According to Judge Richard G. Kopf in the Nebraska decision,
"the overwhelming weight of the trial evidence proves that the banned procedure is safe and medically necessary in order to preserve the health of women under certain circumstances. In the absence of an exception for the health of a woman, banning the procedure constitutes a significant health hazard to women.""
AND
"Judge Casey, in a particularly scathing critique, found that
"Congress did not hold extensive hearings, nor did it carefully consider the evidence before arriving at its findings....This Court heard more evidence during its trial than Congress heard over the span of eight years. This Court also heard the testimony of more physicians regarding the safety of D&X than Congress did. Even the Government's ***own experts***[in this case] disagreed with almost all of Congress's factual findings.""
THIS IS THE ISSUE YOU ARE TO RESPOND TO. THIS IS THE ONE YOU HAVE BEEN DODGING.
