In South Dakota, Women Can't Think on Weekends

Mar 1, 2013 | Posted by: roboblogger | Full story: Mother Jones

On Thursday, South Dakota lawmakers approved a bill that will make its waiting period for abortions - already the most restrictive in the country - even more cumbersome.

"not thinking on a weekend" is probably why some of these women ended up pregnant to begin with.

Just saying.

Yeah!

Imagine if women thought with their vagina like men think with their dick 24/7 what a mess that would be huh?

It was a joke.

But, it looks like they are thinking with their privates, just like the guys. Big mess now indeed.

Didn't get your diploma from Comedy High huh?

Well at least according to you they just think with their vagina on the weekends. They will have to add 5 more 24 hour days to keep pace with the "men".

As I said on the other thread, do the CPCs really expect us to believe they care for the woman and "babies", and yet they can't counsel on weekends and holidays? What's the matter, is it too INCONVENIENT for them?

Are abortion clinics open 24/7?

This is an excellent question. I believe within this question, is the answer to my retirement: I shall open an all-inclusive, not-for-profit, spa-and-abortion clinic on the border between North and South Dakota, and immediately apply for Federal funding, citing the recently passed Violence Against Women Act. My operation will be entirely within the law, and I will offer full services, including adoption counseling, screenings for all ailments relating to reproduction, grief counseling, and fertility advice, in addition to the therapeutic massage, aromatherapy, and feng shui instruction, which will be the 'productive' portion of the business venture.

Thanks!

Do CPC's provide for children from birth to age 18, including ALL expenses in those years?

Think about...WHAT, exactly? A little more clarification would be helpful.

You don't have one.

You get services at places when they're open, not when they aren't.

I did have a point. That being that if they cared SO much, like they claim, why AREN'T they available on weekends and holidays? Are pregnant women only in crisis Mon-Fri, 9-5? Is it too INCONVENIENT for them?

They care as much as any party in the equation, it looks like.

Abortion clinic isn't open 24/7, CPC's aren't open 24/7.

And yet, they pretend they care SO much. Apparently, they don't care enough to inconvenience themselves on the weekends, or holidays, huh?

Neither side appears to "care" enough to run around the clock.

This is an indictment, somehow, that they don't run around the clock?

Nah. It's just pointing out the fact that pregnant women in crisis, are only deemed worthy of attention from crisis pregnancy centers on weekdays, between 9am and 5pm. Even in states where there is only one abortion clinic, that clinic is more likely to see her on a weekend, or after banker's hours, than a CPC is.

I didn't say around the clock, Strawman. Stop putting words in my mouth. Your lame attempts at deflection fool no one. They only highlight your basic dishonesty.

If they aren't open on weekends and holidays, and you think they should be, when, exactly, would you permit them to close?

9-5, M-F is when they're open now.

When would you permit them to not be open?
