Here's an easy way for a teen girl to say a very loud NO to any guy who pressures her for sex.

It's four quick words, followed by four short phrases.

Sex--->pregnancy--->baby --->TRAP

No sex, no pregnancy, no baby...NO TRAP.

Something else for girls to think about:

A girl who enjoys the benefits of being sexFREE (meaning free FROM sex) will be free to do everything she needs to as a high school student, and free to have fun outside school as well.

- She DOESN'T have to worry about paying for diapers and formula.

- She DOESN'T have to watch or hear about her friends having fun without her.

- She DOESN'T have to miss out on things like prom, graduation, college, and her dream career.

- She DOESN'T have to miss out on anything because she DIDN'T have sex and therefore she didn't get pregnant.

- She DOES get to complete all her requirements and graduate high school with her friends and go on to college or vocational school with no restrictions on her time or freedom.

Given the choice between being sexFREE (again, that means free FROM sex) and being pregnant, I'd say the decision for any teen girl is an easy one. It certainly was an easy one for ME when I was a teenager. I enjoyed all the benefits of being sexFREE, which meant keeping all my freedom too, during high school and after graduation.

No sex, no pregnancy, no baby = FREEDOM.

Here in the UK we have a White underclass of welfare breeders, and as one would expect it's a cycle, mum does it and so often her daughters do the same thing, and the poverty, baby cycle just repeats. We call this type of girl "pram face" over here and you can see em a mile off, usually shabbily dressed, cigarette hanging from her mouth, pushing a buggy usually with a toddler lagging on behind. No dad on the scene, often with a partner in prison. As I said her mums usually done the same thing. It's a sad life.

Are there any teen pregnancy PREVENTION programs in the UK, those that educate teen girls on why teen sex and teen motherhood is a BAD IDEA?

I'm curious; who cared for your son while you went to high school and college? If it was your parents or other family members, great, since you had a good family support network. However, many teen moms do NOT have that benefit, and as a result, life is much harder for them and their children.

Personally, I'm very glad that I DIDN'T get pregnant and become a teen mom while still in high school. Life is much easier, and the opportunities for higher education and good employment are much better for young women who DON'T have children in their teens.

I stand by my opinion of teens having children.
Most live off of medicare, welfare, food stamps, WIC, ec.
That is not what I call good parenting.
so you telling me you never had WIC because every female that i know has gotten WIC or is on WIC...and just because they live like that dont mean their not a good mother because im a 18 and t i live of WIC and raise my child on my own bout through with high school and going yo the military so honey you might want to watch what you say because if you a parent people might say you nit a good parenting by the way you living

Wow. "Every female that you know has gottwn WIC or is on WIC," REALLY? Does that mean all the girls/women you know are now teen moms? If that is the case, I find that very sad.

In my teens and twenties, the LAST things I wanted were marriage and/or motherhood. So I made sure I avoided all forms of sexual activity in high school and while I was completing all my levels of post-high-school education. It's MUCH easier for girls and young women to complete their high school studies, graduate high school, and go on to whatever their next step after high school when they AREN'T pregnant or caring for babies in their teens.

Ok look. Just because people MIGHT need finacial help and emotional support and may have to work more doesn't mean that's bad parenting. Parenting doesn't have anything to do with money. The love and care that you show your kids is parenting, and caring for them can be hard, but when you try as hard as you can, thats proof that you really do care.
My mom was 18 when she had my older brother, and she worked and went to school. She had her own place and graduated on time. Then she had me, 2 years later my younger brother. And not only did she have us to care for she usually watched my 2 cousins too. Thats 5 kids all under the age of 5 and she could handle that.
Facts are true for everyone, because the one that says that sons born to teen moms end up in prison or dont have a good relationship with their parents is bull.
My brother is now 20, has never gone to prison, and him and my mom are like best friends. He goes to college, and has a job.

I wonder; if your mom could do it all over again, would she have AVOIDED the sex that got her pregnant as a teenager? By the way, if your mom worked AND went to school while being a teen mom, she obviously had people watching the baby FOR her. That's great, but you should know that all teen moms DON'T have that kind of child care help. So they have to GIVE UP their education and settle for poor-quality employment.

Teens have no business having kids!
* But excuse me ms. you don't know what these teen girls go through in their life, including me! People may make some mistakes, but that gives you not right to judge them!!!

That's true, we don't know what goes on each teen girl's life. However, I still think that teen sex and teen motherhood are huge mistakes, as becoming a mother in her teens can destroy a girl's chances for a decent education and employment if she has NO resources or family to help her. Even when a girl has family, teen motherhood is extremely HARD, and I wouldn't wish that on any girl.

If you don't mind my asking; whose idea was it to have sex in the first place; yours or your boyfriend's, assuming the sex was consensual?

My agenda? I would rather children born to responsible parents rather than kids who cant support them. You are right.
Umm, that's funny, because I'm a teenage mum& I'm doing an amazing job, he wasn't premature, his birth weight was excellent, I'm still doing my education etc.. So I guess your facts need adjusting, as I know quite a few teen mums& they are incredible mums& none of your facts, apply to me nor them.
