There are also excellent books that explain what the Catholic Church teaches and why. There are some very strong books written by those who have chosen to be Catholic after coming from other faith traditions. The Church is not perfect yet Christ who I see as the Son of God came to be known by me through the Church. As soon as one falls into the place of seeing all that the Church teaches as "not true" or "erroneously" done then you close yourself of from possibly finding a truth that comes from a deeper place.<quoted text>
There's a book called "something...for Recovering Catholics" - honest - look it up, written by and about the RCC.
I mainly come here to find out WHY the church teaches so erroneously (and I don't think they do it on purpose) and how so much of what I was taught as a kid is simply not true.
For the holidays this year, the Catholic Church chose to give the world the gift of bizarre, alienating and utterly missing the point rhetoric.
