I believe that civil rights means that all are guaranteed the right to freedom, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

Blacks did not have those rights for much too long. It was awrong that needed to be righted.

I believe that gays, unless they were black have always had those rights.

I think [churches] will eventually be taxed. It is another goal on the plate of activist atheists.
I didn't ask you whether or not you thought churches would 'eventually' be taxed.

I asked for your reason why they're NOT taxed, since, according to you, it's NOT 'separation of church and state'. Still waiting...

<quoted text>I didn't ask what the CURRENT consequences are, and you know it. You don't want abortion to be legal in any but very particular circumstances. Ergo, what do YOU propose as a consequence, or set of consequences, for seeking, obtaining, or performing an abortion, post-criminalization of the ones for which you don't approve of the woman's reasons?
Still waiting.
The genie is out of the bottle and I believe that abortion will always be legal. I just hope that some of the restrictions will come into play for some woman and they won't abort when they see their baby. The change away from aborion as an acceptable way to be chld free will come about one woman at a time. many women choose not to abort after seeing an ultrasound.

We are not talking about children. They are now adults and citizens with rights.
And as citizens, they have the right to sue their moms. They DON'T, however, have criminal cases against them.

If they did, what do you think the legal consequences should be for a mother convicted of attempted abortion?

Still waiting for what?
Your answer to the question I asked. What do YOU think should happen to doctors who perform abortions, and women who abort, or attempt to abort, once a fetus is recognized as a person?

And for you to grow some semblance of a brain.

Please explain to us all HOW the "pursuit of happiness" does NOT include marrying the person you love (and before you go there, I'm talking about consenting adults, not minor children)?

Even though they are in the marriage 'busines' and offer that serice to the public?
They don't offer that service to the public. Churches offer that service only to their members. Two Bapists cannot currently get married in a Catholic church, unless they convert to Catholicism.

As it should, and will always, be.

So you don't believe marriage is a civil right?
Why did laws against interracial marriage change?

Many women choose to abort anyway.

State mandated instrumental rape, is not a legitimate way to reduce abortion.

JMO.

You still haven't answered the original question, but I never really expected you to.

If abortion was illegal women should not be prosecuted after all the poor woman just lost a child. That should be pnishment enough.

Yes, let the women choose. No need for mandatory ultrasounds.

I believe that it is considered a civil right. Although not all marriages are allowed.

The laws concerning interracial marriages changed because they were unfair.

In this country rarely. In other countries, Jews, Christians and gays are killed.

Abortion on the other hand is rampant.

If that was true, then interracial marriages would still be illegal, Witless. And just by the way, you moron, that wasn't just a matter of rights for blacks, but whites as well.
