There are 28 comments on the Cato Institute story from May 22, 2013, titled Why Obama Is Silent on Killed Babies. In it, Cato Institute reports that:

After reading ghastly headlines about recently convicted Philadelphia abortion doctor Kermit Gosnell, such as "Gosnell Jury Hears About Baby Surviving Abortion in Toilet" , there was this sudden message: "White House: No Comment on Gosnell 'Beheading' Babies in Abortions" . Why was Barack Obama silent about this "house of horrors"? Maybe because, ... (more)

America has made Three really bad mistakes with it's last two presidents. First with letting Bush go to war with Iraq... Second electing Obama as POTUS... Third and worst re-electing Obama.

Respect is something that is earned, This president has earned nothing but disrespect.
Obama and all his puppets are nothing but a bunch of lying ghetto losers that was put in office by losers that voted for him. Mostly blacks and people sucking off the government tit.

If it were up to Obama, Goznell would be free to kill more with Obama's blessing. Obama, remember he voted for the Bill to not do anything to try to save the baby if the baby survived an abortion.

Yep, he did vote for that bill. Shows how low our society can sink voting for someone who is heartless... Knowing babies born alive are left to suffer horrible deaths. Maybe he considers gosnell a hero for killing the babies, since its quicker than letting them die lying in some dumpster or wherever they toss human babies born alive during an attempted abortion. Sick society indeed.

You two are dumb as dirt.

Don't you ever stop and think before you post?

There was no bill to withhold treatment.

You should be ashamed of yourselves, but you don't have the wit.

Even if Obama had voted yes to that bill, do you really think that Gosnell would have provided medical care to those babies?

I don't see how his support for those organizations obligates him to put aside other presidential duties to pay special attention to one murder trial. Gosnell performed illegal activities. That's up to the legal system to sort out. I don't recall him making a public statement about the shooting of Dr. Tiller or the following trial either, but someone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong about that.
Abortion is not the top priority for running a country, nor should it be. Yes, I know that many politicians (including Obama) have and will use the abortion rights struggle to court votes from people, but they other obligations.
I don't think Obama is a particularly stellar president, but I would never expect him or any other president to pay special attention to every abortion related event in the country; no matter how upsetting it is. I'd rather the president focus on national defense, the economy and protecting people's jobs.

You've got it all wrong.

He voted against a bill that would have provided medical treatment for a fetus that survived an abortion.

IL 92nd Legislature Senate Bill 1663 April 4, 2002.

If you can't tell it correctly then shut up.

You agreed with the claim he voted For a bill that never existed. That's repeating the lie.

Everything you want to know about Obama's voting record can be found in the 92nd Final Digest of the Illinois State Assembly.

Perhaps had you heard his speech on the floor of the Illinois Senate during the debate of the Born Alive bill you'd have a different opinion.

Here's a bit of enlightenment:

First off, I don't have to shut up, second, I don't give a crap about that ones voting record. Never see him or hear him. Like I said, you're point? The man voted for an immoral, cold, callous practice. The end.

With his sycophantic true-believer kin at Planned Parenthood, Obama has always been demonstrably pro-abortion. There isn't a single abortion -- pre- or post-birth -- that Obama and Planned Parenthood wouldn't enthusiastically sanction.

http://www.nrlc.org/ObamaBAIPA/2003AmendedILB... -- On March 12-13, 2003, the Illinois state senate committee chaired by Senator Barack Obama amended the proposed state Born-Alive Infants Protection bill (SB 1082) to exactly track the language of the already-enacted -- without a single dissenting vote in either the U. S. House or Senate -- federal BAIPA, by adopting Senate Amendment No. 1, 10-0. The committee then voted to kill the amended bill, 6-4, with Obama and the other Democrats on the committee voting against it.

The bill that Obama and his colleges voted to kill, as amended, was virtually identical to the federal law. The entirely non-substantive points at which the state bill language still differed from the federal law are shown in brackets below (except we have ignored differences in capitalizing).
