This is for pro-lifers to see how they want to punish abortion. Do NOT vote if you are not pro-life. I'm not even voting because I'm pro-choice.

I'm not sure if you're referring to punishment of the abortionist or punishment of the woman. I assumed you were referring to the abortionist. I think the abortionist should go to prison for life, and the woman should receive the help that she obviously needs. I don't believe that happy contented women choose to kill their own unborn. There is almost always some stres that made the woman believe that she did not have an alternative.

Shame on the abortionist for pandering to this instead of helping her to find constructive solutions to her problems.

I am pro life.

However, I find this poll strange. I am not trying to insult you, but since abortion is legal ... why would there be any punishment ??
I won't vote.

You and your fellow travelers want to make it illegal. If it were illegal, what should the punishment be for the woman who has an illegal abortion? Hope that helps.

Interesting. Two PLM folks here, and two votes. ::sigh:: TTTIN, you might want to clarify the question for those who are pretending not to get it, and/or pretending not to vote.

By How should abortion be punished I mean IF it were made illegal how should it be punished?

As for whether I'm talking about the woman or the abortionist. Either. Its kind of hard to make a poll with enough options to include all the possible combinations of punishments there could be between the woman and the abortionist. If you think the penalties should be different vote Other and explain.

But I'll point out your number one argument for banning abortion seems to be and correct me if I'm wrong that the fetus is a person and so killing it is murder.

Based on that logic how could any penalty less than what you'd get for willingly murdering an adult be justified? And how could you justify letting the woman off the hook if it's murder? If you hire someone to commit a murder of even a newborn baby you get charged with the same crime, murder (or attempted murder if it doesnt fall through) that they do. I suppose there have been circumstances where a woman had a baby, paniced and killed it and then was given manslaughter because of the stress she was under but IF abortion=murder you can't really justify giving a woman who has an abortion anything less. Yet I hear a lot of pro-life people saying things like "well I dont know if it should be punished" or "I haven't thought about it" or "only the doctor should be punished".

None of that is logically consistent unless you want abortion criminalized for a different reason.

Good grief! Foo is right...you are an idiot. What on earth makes you think that women can't (or don't) make these decisions for themselves? I did. No one pushed me either way. NO ONE. It was MY decision.

Excellent. I was just trying to make this point a few moments ago on another thread. They simply do not think things through.

It's a disturbing phenomena, having people rally for something so rabidly without fully grasping the ramifications of their actions.

Good luck!

Oh boy, off the bottle and into withdrawel.
Pity it must be so nasty all the time. Maybe it should learn from other pc how to be civil.

Foo and Lalu are a couple of PC who can help with this, as THEY have the ability to refrain from such hatred and ASSuming I was lying about not voting.

I mean, what is going to happen to me either way ??

Perhaps I am missing something somewhere. I just addressed a post to you on another thread. How you wanted things to be the way they used to be. Now you are calling PB a whore??? What is up with that shit??

Perhaps some people voted and read the thread and decided not to post? Decided it was stupid and not really worth their time? Maybe they read the thread, voted and left.

Besides, it does not matter WHO voted.

It was just the beginning of a discussion.

Hey nana
Yes, I did state that I wanted things the way they used to be.

Did you miss her insulting posts to me ??
I will continue to try and be nice to those that are not dilberatley taunting me .. which that one ALWAYS has/does. I am not under any obligation to be nice to that one, and I won't.

Remember way back when, I was able to be nice to the vasy majority and still didn't get along with Chickey ?? That didn't affect my relationship with you, lalu, foo .. etc. You didn't repremand me back then ..

Anyhow, my fight isn't with you nana.

RuhRoh! poopshoot's devolving again. This turnaround didn't last all that long, did it freak? You just can't pretend to be a civil human being for very long at all anymore. What will your excuse be this time - the BP, the phony pregnancy, or maybe the eczema? Maybe it'll be something new this time.::shrug:: I don't really care. I just appreciate you confirming my evaluation of you, once again.
You called me a whore. How very xtianist of you. No wonder your little boy-god hates you.
LOL ^^( answer is in the question )
Anyhow pb, I have no obligation to be civil to YOU! The decent PC, well .. that is something completely different. No like .. well, that is a tough sh*t moment huh ??

Nana, this is the post I was referring to.
Pb was the one b*tching about votes etc.

Then she further makes comment about me feeling guilty and pretending not to vote .. pretending to not understand the question .. etc.

Nana, I am sure that you understand that I am under no obligation to be civil to ALL pc, right ?
You are being nice to me, yet have your irons in the fire with other pl.

You're right, women make the decision for themselves, but they often do it under extreme duress? How else would you explain the self-mutilation and other extreme occurrences that sometimes happened when abortion was illegal? People simply making lifestyle choices would not resort to such extremes.

Many women choose abortion because they have been pressured into it by an irresponsible boyfriend or husband, or by an embarrassed father. If anyone other than the abortionist is guilty, it is these men who share most of the guilt with him.

I'm sorry you felt the need to make this decision. I hope you received appropriate counselling afterwards.
