The anti-abortion movement's brewing civil war

There are 1 comment on the Salon story from Apr 2, 2013, titled The anti-abortion movement's brewing civil war. In it, Salon reports that:

Some anti-abortion activists were crowing about their apparent victories in North Dakota last week - including an unprecedented ban on abortion at six weeks, before most women know they're pregnant - but, notably, that's not what Peggy Noonan wanted to talk about on Meet the Press yesterday.

The 'incrementalists' are definitely the movers and shakers, in the so-called 'pro-life' camp with regard to the abortion debate. What's frightening to me, is that it's even a debate any longer. 1973 should have ended whatever controversy there was, over whether or not women have the right to personal risk assessment, self-determination, medical autonomy and safety, and especially self defense. Why are we still asking whether or not pregnant women are people???

The more people who ignore the insidious creep of ever tighter restrictions on a LEGAL MEDICAL PROCEDURE (and they are legion, comprehensively promoted, and quietly being passed) the fewer there are who are willing to stand up and say "ENOUGH already". Where are the young people on this issue? Prevalently, they are identifying with the so-called 'pro-life' side. The propaganda is working, especially on those with the most to lose if the anti-choicers win.

Abortion is legal, yes, but if it's inaccessible by design to the majority of women, it might as well not be. And it's that way in three states now, regardless of Roe.
