This tactic of Obama Supporters to Play the Race Card worked - that is about all you can say. Branding and labeling is OK if the situation is right. Political Correctness is slowing destroying this country and I personally laugh each day that I see it. Good article arguing for the protection of your rights.

You can't make the argument that our society "as a whole" is racist anymore. Whites, in huge numbers, voted for a black man. Were it not for whites, we'd be saying hi to McCain and Palin in January. I know it's hard for white haters to admit, but maybe, just maybe, we're not as bad as you were taught to believe.

I agree, downtown hpt, this country has turned an important corner but it looks like the white supremacists and their ugly ilk want to continue to go back backwards and down the evil road of hate.(refrain from using the "hell" word!)

American deserves better and some of us are "better".

Cry me a river. Maybe we can build a generator on it and break our oil dependency. That would be the only perpose of this article. The election is over with, PRESIDENT-ELECT Obama won. Now let's talk about digging the country out of the hole its in and quit dwelling on the past.

I supported neither Kyle because they're BOTH politicians.
You chose to kneel before the altar of "change". Whatever the hell that is supposed to mean.

Wow.. This letter is written by a selfish man. I see no reason why any citizen needs a handgun, assault rifle, or ammunition for their own private arsenal.

Wow. That post was written by a fool with no historical much less reality basis.
The fact that guns are used more than 1 million times annually to save lives and property means nothing to someone eager to serve their Messiah.
Talk about selfish.

this is our Gun law
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gun_politics_in_...

we brought in gun control after a really bad mass killing and it was to try and reduce this
http://www.usyd.edu.au/news/84.html...
The risk of dying by gunshot has halved since Australian gun buy-back
Not only were Australia's post-Port Arthur gun laws followed by a decade in which the crime they were designed to reduce hasn't happened again,
10 YEARS NO MASS MURDER,[4+] we were averaging one a year in the 10 years before gun control
New Zealand also has tight gun laws and they haven’t had a mass murder either

gun death since gun control
http://www.aic.gov.au/publications/tandi2/tan...
We now have 241 gun deaths or 1.1 per 100k people, it was 120% higher before

including nearly halving the male suicide
figure 2
http://www.responseability.org/site/index.cfm...

“We find reductions in both gun homicide and gun suicide rates that are statistically significant, meaning that they are larger than would have been expected by mere chance,” Dr Leigh said.“Our best estimates are that the gun buyback has saved between 128 and 282 lives per year.”

since gun control
gun death down 60%
murder down 30%
male suicide down 40%
armed robbery down 20%
theft down 15%
car theft down 50%
burglary down 40%
assault up 2% pa
