We've been scouring the data for clues as to what we should learn from what happened tonight as President Obama relatively easily claimed a second term.

I know you are phobic about Islam and for that I am sorry for you. They aren't all bad. Here's a little tid bit for you to mull over. Do you realize that God is the main cause of most of the wars that have plagued the earth?

Do you realize that if Christians on the Crusades had left the Muslim nations alone and tried not to 'cleanse the heathens' that we probably would be in this mess we are in today?
You do not understand neither God nor the Bible.

God's value FREEDOM of decision more than you liberals!!!

Is it not possible for things to exist outside human understanding, without a supernatural force being involved?

You have applied theology to science in a way, to say they are incapable of coexisting without intermingling.

You can't ask for spending cuts and less government and then complain when government workers get laid off. It's a game of cut spending, but if the Dems cut defense spending, then Fox goes on and on about how horrible it is to cut government jobs. Government jobs are government jobs, spending is spending. You can't start picking and choosing which government employees you want laid off. You either want spending cuts or you don't. Don't complain about layoffs in government employees. We need more of that.
Not all government employment is equal

Do we REALLY need 342 economic development programs?
130 programs serving the disabled?
130 programs serving at-risk youth?
90 early childhood development programs?
82 teacher quality monitoring programs?
Or could the vast majority of these programs be combined and downsized considerably?

Defense, on the other hand, spurs R&D, creating private sector employment, AND performs the most basic function of government, which is to DEFEND the Country.

One Infantryman is worth FAR more than an EPA auditor, though the Infantryman is paid a pittance while the auditor is remunerated at far higher rates than Private Sector employment would offer. Further, by protecting the Country, the Infantryman creates jobs, while the auditor kills them.

<quoted text>you're an idiot:

I get so tired of educating those who refuse to acknowledge the truth. For the last time, the Bush Tax cuts resulted in 54 straight months of economic growth. The recession occurred after Democrats gained control of Congress and began wildly borrowing and spending trillions of dollars and implementing their bone-headed and supremely irresponsible fiscal policy.

The economic numbers don't lie. Take a look for yourself:
http://forecast-chart.com/chart-gdp-rate.html

The economy grew every single quarter until Q4 of 2008. That's solid continual economic growth that directly resulted from the Bush Tax Cuts.
Bush tax cut were ONLY and exclusively for the rich, not for the Middle class, that is why Obana extended them, see? Wait, ah! Oops!, just a minute, actually only the rich benefited from Obama's extension of...

Do we really need 1,347 weapons programs in DoD? Do we really need over 200 separate job classification in the Army alone?

The EPA auditor creates jobs as well. From those developing more efficient machinery and production processes to cleaner exhausts and waste recycling.

If you are going to cut spending, the militay at this time is a good place to start. Is there any war we have ever fought where we continued spending more after the war was over?

What you conveniently over look that the unemployment rate climbing from 4%, to that 7.8% under George Bush was indeed evidence of a Crashed American Economy.
You're trying to sell the idea or theory the Economy in America was good 4 years ago, That is absurd.
Romney was trying to sell that same Idea you are, that's why he loss the election. He was a salesmen, offering delusions.
What you overlook is this administration has spent 4 years trying to assign blame as opposed to creating or supporting policies that facilitate economic growth and job creation.
How about we close the chapter on Oblamers first term and concede that Bush was indeed to blame, for everything?
Can we finally move on to,maybe, just maybe, addressing the deep rooted problems we all face?
Or will the next 4 years be about blaming Bush for global warming or the demise of the spotted owl?

<quoted text>You missed a lot with American politics, George Bush only had 12 vetoes in 8 years, 11 of them in his last 2 years all democrat proposals. True the Democrats were the majority for 2 years, but Bush vetoed every piece of legislation involving spending they sent to him to approve.

There are a lot of holes in your political knowledge base, why?

Also, there's not been an approved Federal Budget since 1996, it's not like George Bush signed any Budgets into law, he just spent by submitting spending proposals to congress which they rubber stamped,

How is it that you people talk a great deal about budgets and spending and are absent the fact there hasn't been a federal budget since 96, just spending request?
Where is the last Democrat budget?

They had not submitted one in three years!!!

I am not referring to the one Obama submitted and got ZERO votes, not that one!!!

Clinton, dumbass:

"
But others would note the irony of Clinton citing the perils of deregulation under Bush because he also is culpable. Clinton signed into law a repeal of the Glass-Steagall law that separated commercial and investment banks — a policy shift that some have said also played a role in the economic crisis. Moreover, Clinton also signed into law the Commodity Futures Modernization Act, which essentially removed derivatives contracts from regulatory oversight. By many accounts, derivatives, such as the credit default swap, were at the heart of the financial crisis.

Indeed, Clinton has admitted that he was given wrong advice about the need to regulate derivatives contracts.“I think they were wrong, and I think I was wrong to take” their advice, Clinton said of his economic advisers."

You idiots constantly claim republicans don't care about the workers or jobs, when nothing could be further from the truth. Without a prosperous working and middle class, how do you think the rich can make any money?

The dems do it thru borrowed money, right now we're creating a deficit bubble which of course will crash, as do all bubbles. Then you'll see never before seen inflation and stagnation of the economy.
