I doubt I'll have to beg, my industry is perched on the verge of a shortage of skilled persons to fill jobs and there won't be anybody to fill the pipeline for years to come.

What is insane is how the Republicans want to talk about how this president "divide" the nation, when it is THEY who are the segregationist. Great example? Read the posts and you can clearly see who they are. The ones with nary a positive word or comment to make about a man who cares enough about the country to run for the office with conviction, dedication and concern for all of us. Instead of supporting his efforts and offering a helping hand...they sit on their asses and fault find. Their comments are hateful, racist, unfounded and out right ridiculous! America has always been divided because institutional racism is deeply ingrained in its very fiber. Many whites...that other 47% have grown comfortable with their lies, denial of their own racists beliefs and choose to be blinded by their own actions and resistance to change. These people,...and they are not all Caucasians ( some are of other ethnic groups) are the same ones who are living in the past and future. They have not YET learned how to embrace the NOW. This is and has been the "Divisive Factor." A system of designed racism that has enabled the haves to keep the have nots' fighting against each other instead of unifying, that they may continue to control the masses. Those of you who say harsh things about this president, are the perpetrators of division, not only in America... the WORLD! It is YOU and NOT the president that continues on the negative path that has led this country and the world into the violent present that the majority of the worlds people have united to change. And we will change it because "Change" is the only constant! You cannot stop us with your hateful nature. We have unmatched endurance and will never allow what was to remain. That is why I voted along with enough peace loving people to successfully re-elect President Barack Obama. If you think you were crying in November when we defeated you, let me warn you of a promised prophesy. "The Truth shall set you Free." Learn how to speak it!

Fiat, Chrysler, will be making Jeeps in China, 100,000 per year, capable of 200,000 per year. Last I heard, China is overseas.
Not against outsourcing but that is alot of product US factories could've manufactured for export. The only people I see buying a Jeep or anyother car in China beside a Chinese military officer is a US factory rep which the extra dollars it would cost from export wouldn't affect them. But Fiat, the Italians don't even give a crap about their own domestic production

http://www.autoevolution.com/news/fiat-closin...

This is the proverbial foot in the door. First it will be for sales in China only. Then they'll wind up exporting to countries we might have exported too. At the sametime they start manufacturing parts for Jeeps assembled here. But since most auto companies have the same parts in many different models it will eventually affect domestic production.

This is exactly why I would've let these too to fail companies FAIL. We got insurance companies suing us and bailout babies selling out to foreigners and outsourcing jobs that could've been domestic.

So how is it that allowing GM to fail, saves jobs.
paying out all that un employment and missing out on the tax revenue generated by employed workers not only at GM but at every other industry that does business with it. We wont get full value for the bailout in terms of resold stock but the 2\3 or more return we do get added to the costs we would have seen if GM had fallen....the bailout was fair deal for the country.
Even if it violated some peoples ideological notions

If you let the too big to fail companies fail that doesn't necessarily mean you fold the company. You allow them to reorganize after getting rid of their debt. Some will get unemployment and others get to work in the new company, hopefully smaller.

The problem is you keep the auto companies afloat but the rest of the sinking economy can't afford a new car anyway. There were some sales but companies like Chrysler should've been allowed to fail/reorganize or fold on their own the first time around. Bailout AND bankruptcy in less than four years?

The economy is still stagnant if not starting to fall again. If you had let the too big to fail companies fail alot of newer smaller businesses would've popped up in their place. The bailouts were nothing but throwing money at long standing problem. The economy might have been GWs fault but it was Obama's to fix. Besides outsourcing there were problems in the tax code for instance that should've been addressed including flagging your corporation in a foreign country yet doing all your business here.

The problem of too big to fail still exists and that puts a stranglehold on the economy. Somebody has to feed those 'too big' companies with money.

Agreed. This is why Romney switched his position during the campaign.

Prior to running for president, he was for letting the car manufacturers go under. Once he became the nominee, all of a sudden he shifted his position... in public anyway.

Romney just couldn't square claiming to be a job creator while throwing people out of work.

Your job is to push a wooden stick into the recycle hopper to clear the bottle that shouldn't have put in there in the first place.

There isn't really a lot of training involved but I commend you on passing the which end is pointed stick training.

Jeep is EXPANDING to China, the market GREW. They are not closing plants in the US.

They will make Jeeps in China by Chinese to sell to Chinese.

I have a question for you guys:

Is it possible that Obama has already signed an executive order that prevents him from ever being forcefully removed from the White House and allows him to use the entirety of the military and foreign military aid as the Commander In Chief to enforce this?

I was just thinking of this a moment ago, and thought I would put that out there.

If he has plans for dictatorship, that would surely be one of the first sealed/hidden orders he would make...

OK, so that means that less Jeeps will be made here, since the need for exporting them will most likely be greatly diminished.
