It's no mystery to anyone who's been paying close attention. In addition to being a liar, he tried to run on his so-called business acumen which was nothing more than predatory corporate raiding. He couldn't run on his record as Massachusetts governor, because the stae ranked 47th out of all 50 states in job creation during his tenure. During the course of the campaign, he always was at least 10 points behind the president in reliable polls in Mass. because he left a bad taste in their mouths. But just like GOP leaders, there are arrogant folks on TOPIX forums who show they've learned nothing from Romney's defeat. They show this with remarks praising the ethically challenged Willard Romney's moral character or insulting those of us who voted for Obama, especially blacks. They choose also to disregard the dim view of Romney which most nations held, in spite of the fact that any U.S. president would be prominent on the world stage. Last but not least, he had a scary running mate who was at least consistent in his stated intention to gut the middle class in favor of the wealthy.

I can save the Republicans a lot of money. What went wrong for them is their repellant ideology.

In a way, I'm happy they're doing focus groups. They think all they have to do is learn better ways to finesse their heartless philosophy. I look forward to all the time they'll waste trying to implement their kinder, gentler greed and bigotry.

How MUCH info does IT take to get THROUGH your thick skull to "understand" that Vote FRAUD "happened" ...

That THAT is HOW the BIG 0 is still in office.

THAT being "let go" is a TRAVESTY in itself!

Obama suppressing the military vote: Overseas service members unable to access the polls Washington Examiner

The men and women who risk their lives to preserve freedom for all Americans are at risk of losing one of the very freedoms they protect.

Overseas military absentee voting was abysmal in 2008 ó only 20 percent of overseas military turned in absentee ballots ó and it looks like itís going to be even worse in 2012. In Virginia and Ohio, military and overseas ballots have fallen 70 percent since 2008, according to the Military Voter Protection Project. Ohio received only 9,700 ballots in September, whereas in September 2008, it received 32,000.

So, why arenít soldiers voting? In many cases they simply canít, and they have their commander in chief, President Obama, to blame.

Hundreds of thousands of our uniformed personnel have been shut out of the process, and we can thank the Obama administration and even the Obama campaign for this tragedy. After poor turnout in 2008, Congress passed the Military and Overseas Voter Empowerment (Move) Act to ensure that all military are provided with the opportunity to vote. The act put standards in place, such as mailing absentee ballots no later than 45 days before an election and requiring installation voting assistance offices to be built at most military bases and posts.

The Pentagon has utterly failed to meet these standards.

As you can see, there are folks who show by the way they judge factual information about Willard and other Republicans that they have learned absolutely nothing from the defeats that the GOP suffered this year. I find it hilarious that among those who voted for Romney and judge others harshly for not having done so, there were folks who really didn't like Romney and only tolerated him because they thought he was their best chance to beat the president. So, they remain in denial about the fact that Romney was a deeply flawed candidate campaigning on a platform that more Americans voted against than for. Apparently, it's lost on them that insulting people with remarks about "gifts" or "free stuff,"
not to mention the infamous 47% remarks, is not a recipe for getting people's votes.

That was also true when there were subjects on TOPIX about Sarah Palin. Some were so enamored of her that they refused to acknowledge the existence of facts showing her serious shortcomings that gave pause to most people when considering her for national politics. They were quick to attribute justified criticisms of her to "libs," although a number of conservatives also did. That number grew as time went on. So, they can stay immersed in denial and self-deception about the GOP defeats. Unfortunately, it often takes a personal catastrophe to change that kind of thinking.

Just disregard the judgit icons. Most of the time, it's the work of the same conservative poster that has made it a personal quest to administer negative icons to every post she disagrees with.

I like to call her the "judgit nazi" but she has been given many names at this point.

Again, I agree with you. One of the latest GOP spectacles is that of the minority leader in the Senate, Mitch McConnell bringing up a legislation that would have further empowered the president, but filibustering his own legislation after fellow Senator Reid, the majority leader there, called his bluff by bringing it up for a vote. These kinds of antics are symbolic of what the modern GOP has degenerated into--one of mean-spirited pettiness that puts party above the country and is more than willing to throw countless Americans under the bus to undermine any success of a president whose election they vehemently opposed.

Pathetic. If the Gop thinks this kind of behavior is going to win them elections, they're nuts.

They are just pushing themselves further into oblivion and trying to take the rest of this country with them.

LOL

Bitter much?

The only thing "GODLY" about many Republicans is that they seem to have a God complex. They are some of the worst hypocrites I've ever seen. In the news on one channel condemning homosexuals and all who they don't agree with, on another channel in handcuffs for some sex scandal or fraud.

As for "taking from the poor", that's the funniest thing you posted.

Republicans have been protecting the rich and their money faithfully throughout history. Nothing has changed in 2012, with their stubborn unwillingness to allow the tax cuts for top earners to expire.

Yeah, I've heard plenty of these rants and usually from posters behind proxies just like you. Not a lick of truth to what is posted but surely entertaining. ;)

It's tough to converse with crazy but you just keep huffing the Fox news fumes and floating farther and farther out to Delusionville. There are quite a few of you out there, and you are "out there".

The rest of America will move forward without you. ;)

Look up "facist". It is defined essentially as "the ultimate expression on CONSERVATIVE politics". I don't know why I'm even explaining this to you though... as this is clearly one of those instances of "casting pearls before swine" as was mentioned somewhere in the bible.

Speaking of godly... I didn't realize the "godly" republicans were doing so much to prevent the "evil, fascist (there's that word again)" liberal slime from STEALING from the poor. I've always been under the impression that the conservatives meme is that the liberal slime are stealing from the RICH (or should I say "job creators") to pay the poor to do nothing. You know... those damn "free-riding poor people".

The only ones taking from the poor are those in the Party of No. It IS entertaining to read rants like the one you are responding to because it shows how unmoored from reality that poster is. In the alternate universe he or she resides in, up is down and black is white. A cue to that kind of thinking is the misuse of words like "Commie," "Socialist," and "Nazi." As you've noted, these same folks like to invoke God but definitely are not followers of the teachings of His Son, Jesus Christ.
