Climate change mitigation is a dumb idea. The climate operates much like a pendulum with periods of global warming followed by periods of global cooling. The very idea that man can somehow alter this system and...

Man has little effect on the global environment in any case.

It's almost impossible to be a hard-line Denier and be taken seriously by ANYONE...:)
Global warming is a fact of life. Do you not agree that it is silly to think we can alter the cvourse of nature and somehow reverse this...?

Do you know that AGW goes on everyday via the emissions of 90 million tons of man-made CO2 into our atmosphere? Huh?

Stop playing dumb.

Then comes another idiot..."Man has little effect on the global environment in any case".

And of course, we've all been assured that "it won't be that bad".

We emit CO2 because its profitable and fun. If you don't emit CO2, you die. Don't panic.

Climate always changes; we have always adapted to climate change. We've never demonstrated the ability to mitigate climate change.

There has never been a climate change mitigation experiment published in a peer reviewed journal. If you're a skeptic, science is on your side.

Go ahead make our day prove it. Now use your peer reviewed published work. That cut and paste useless scientific science fiction babble is old.

KANGERLUSSUAQ, Greenland On the Arctic Circle, a chef is growing the kind of vegetables and herbs - potatoes, thyme, tomatoes, green peppers - more fitting for a suburban garden in a temperate zone than a land of Northern Lights, glaciers and musk oxen.
Some Inuit hunters are finding reindeer fatter than ever thanks to more grazing on this frozen tundra, and for some, there is no longer a need to trek hours to find wild herbs.
Welcome to climate change in Greenland, where locals say longer and warmer summers mean the country can grow the kind of crops unheard of years ago.
"Every year we try new things," said Ernst, who even managed to grow a handful of strawberries that he served to some surprised Scandinavian royals. "I first came here in 1999 and no-one would have dreamed of doing this. But now the summer days seem warmer, and longer."
Major commercial crop production is still in its infancy. But it is a sign of changes here that Greenland's government set up a commission this year to study how a changing climate may help farmers increase agricultural production and replace expensive imported foods.

So, how come Greenland's government believes the hoax?
Maybe because it's not a hoax?
All together now... Further proof: Global Warming is a GOOD thing and it may be because of Man made GHGs.

"We drink water because it's profitable and fun....but if you don't drink it, you'll die."

A comparable sentence...would anyone call that a rational comment?

The climate IS changing, and humans WILL act to mitigate that human-caused change, Brainless. Whether you want it to happen or not. That's your bottom line, troll. You have no power to influence the real world, and are enjoying your own little fantasy-world too much anyway...:)

You people have never done studies that prove that the way you want to poison our atmosphere is safe. Prove it's safe BEFORE you do it.

Sorry, but science is NOT on the side of the skeptics. The basics of AGW/CC are proven beyond any reasonable doubt.

You're crazy!

:-)

Look... Ultimately, from the perspective of policy makers and the general public, the impacts of climate change and the required mitigation and adaptation efforts are largely the same in a world of 2 or 4 C per doubling of CO2 concentrations where carbon dioxide emissions are rising quickly.

CO2 isn't poisonous at atmospheric levels. In fact, CO2 is vital for life.

Anyone who doubts the greenhouse effect of too much atmospheric co2 should look no further than Venus for proof that global warming exists. Why are you so anti-science?

Right Josh, I'll walk right over and check it out.

Location, location, location... that's the three things that define the value of real estate. Venus is closer to the sun, of course its hotter than Earth. Mar's atmosphere is 95.9% CO2, but its still colder than Earth's atmosphere with a meager 0.0391 CO2. Distance from the sun is more important than CO2.
