What the tea party is doing is putting $100,000 in the bank and then telling the bank to give them as much as $2,700 a month in cash for as long as they live in return for the money they put in the bank and to give them $3,000 a month worth of medical insurance too for that same $100K they put in the bank. The bank would give them their $100K plus interest and tell them to get lost.

I just shake my head in amusement when people pull that "we paid for our SS" bullcrap. Many of you know (like my own SS-receiving parents do) that after a few years of retirement you're pulling out more than you put into SS. The rest of you are too damn ignorant.
Sure, and the thing is that the World War II generation paid ZERO into Medicare and they have been on Medicare for almost 40 years now, and end of life care alone costs over $200,000. Multiply that by 60 million people. And they only paid one half of one percent into SS when wages were very low back in the 40s, 50s, 60s and then began to retire in the 1970s, so after the were on SS for two years, it's all welfare to them. They always admitted it, that it's welfare after a year or two. Today you have 80 million baby boomers whose SS and Medicare taxes have long since been given to the World War II generation who paid almost nothing into the programs and now they all want to live 30-40 years retired when they paid enough to live on SS and Medicare for maybe 2-5 years, and a lot of their wives never worked, so it's straight up welfare to them. And, that is where the $121 trillion of unfunded liabilities in SS and Medicare comes from. That's the amount of money the government promised to give to the baby boomers BEYOND what they have paid into those programs - unfunded = unpaid for and liabilities = promises, unfunded liabilities.

The worst part about all of this is that the tea party was only fighting for them to get over $100 trillion in welfare, in socialism from the government, and yet here they were abusing everyone saying "no socialism, no government health care, make it on your own retired, we are so great, we are big patriots, we are so entitled." And they were dressing up like our founding fathers so they could go and march for them to be able to get $121 trillion from the government in cash and in medical care. That shows how stupid Americans really are and how greedy and how mean they are, and how mentally ill they are that greed drove them to deny what they were even doing. It's really sick stuff. And that's why people were laughing at the Tea Party. When you see a "Tea Party" is all old people, you know that they are on 3-4 government pensions and on government health care, living on European style socialism and so why would they try to pretend they care one thing about the country or about spending cuts or any of that stuff when all they were doing was trying to keep the big government money going to them? this is the tragedy of the country that everyone only votes for who they think will give them government money and government health care and those who get the most government money made it up that they don't get anything and made it up that they were being somehow so patriotic to try and snag $121 trillion in government money for themselves. It's soooooo sick. It's makes you want to leave the country cause who would live around people who are that greedy and who lie like that and who are that dumb and in that much denial?? No one wants that. And why should the government pay people who are that dumb and who no longer pay income taxes that kind of money? Talk about a waste of money. But this is going on all over the world. The Greeks are even worse. But here our new political group fighting to cut spending was really on the government and not paying income taxes and secret about what they were really after. It's really sad.

They would have been better off to be honest and say they are for socialism and demand SS and Medicare and fight for a national sales tax or value added tax to fund the unfunded liabilities in SS and Medicare, but, here again, it's their greed of money that they did not want to pay any new tax. So they will end losing the programs.

It's like the state workers who say Obama has to run up $1 trillion a year of debt to pay them their state pensions. Well, had they agreed to cut their pensions in half, they would still have gotten big pensions and not have had to run up debt on the country. Instead, they refuse to take any cuts, so we run up $1 trillion a year of debt, soon we will have to default on our debt and then those people won't get much of anything. It's greed to insanity.

typical fiscal broughhaha from the uneducated young. go to any site that has an annuity calculator and take a liberal view of 40 years of interest rates that varies from 2-18% over that 40 years, then ammortize 40 years of contributions with monthly or annual compounded interest and see what the annuity is worth 40 years later. the number will astound your petty mind. most people at or near SS retirement that worked the entire 40 years put a lot more than 100k in contributions. The average SS retirement amount at the start of 2012 was $1,200.00 a month, far from the $2,700.00 a month you spout, look it up child (google is your friend). out of that 1200.00 a month about 10%,$100.00 a month is paid as a medicare premium for doctors, then another $40.00 a month for the prescription plan that covers some not all prescriptions and has a 375.00 deductable and pays approx 47% of the drug cost leaving about a 50% co-pay. Doctor and hospital costs are covered at 80% with the retiree paying 20% co-pays. Now it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see the $1,200.00 a month SS benefit to get eaten to under a thousand real fast, then try paying rent, utilities and buy groceries with what's left.
So, get real kids, SS recepients are NOT rich, on average don't live long enough to receive anywhere near what they put in after 40 years using standard annuity calculations.

again, stop whining, pay your share as those did before you and grow up !

Pure bull.

Number one, the $121 trillion of debt in SS and Medicare is because SS and Medicare pays out sooooooo much more to every person than they pay in. The $121 trillion of unfunded liabilities is the amount the government has promised to pay the baby boomers BEYOND what they paid in.

That is not even the total amount the government has to pay in SS and Medicare. It is only the unpaid for amount, the amount BEYOND what you all paid in taxes.

If the stuff paid for itself, it would not have $121 trillion of unpaid for promises. How in the world can you see $121 TRILLION (with a T) of unpaid for promises and then have the nerve to lie about it? It's greed to insanity, this stuff.

Number two, the young people are NOT going to pay for this stuff. NO ONE CAN. You would need both a 20 percent value added tax AND to make Medicare into vouchers now in order to keep Medicare. That's how big $100 trillion of debt in Medicare is. That's how big of a number it is.

Number three, we are about to default on the debt, so no, one one young is going to be paying the debt off. It's a mathematical impossibility. We already pay almost half a trillion dollars a year on interest on the debt and it could easily go up to a trillion a year. That means default, no more borrowing, which means the end of SS and of Medicare in total.

Number four, I am not young. I am simply a truth teller. I'm decent enough and smart enough to be able to tell the truth, unlike most all Americans. The rest of you lie and deny and can't do any critical thinking. You never think about "what is the truth" regardless of whose side it falls on. That is what smart people do. All they about is that they are telling the truth, thinking right. That's the poinnt. Unfortunately most people in this country have really low IQs now and so they don't ever even think about it being important to tell the truth and to be honest.

Number five, all this tea party has ever done is demand massive socialism and huge spending on that stuff for themselves and then lie that they hate socialism and that they want spending cuts. And again, if they were able to think critically, if they were smart, they would simply think the truth - which is they want massive socialism and they have to figure out how to pay for it themselves.

Number six, why does the tea party tell other people to save to live retired, but you admit the tea party spent all of their money and did not save one cent?

I am an older person, I am on SS and Medicare, I am telling you the same things every Republican has been telling you for years and years. You all refuse to hear it. You do not want to hear that your socialism is costing all the money is has to be cut. That's why I say it over and over and over. Because I see the denial and hiding and the lying and the greed.

As long as I am the ONLY one except for the Republican politicians who keeps talking about the $121 trillion of debt in SS and in Medicare, as long as I see everyone else hiding from it and refusing to be honest about it and refusing to ever discuss it, you can bet I will post it over and over and over every day in here because I hate liars and I hate those who run and hide and I hate greedy people and weak people. So you all keep hiding from the facts and I will continue to put the facts in your faces every single day until both parties end those two programs. I am not afraid of the truth and my politicial philosophy is not about lying and hiding and asking for tons of money from the government. It is about dealing with the huge debts and stopping the U.S. from collapsing. You cannot hide from that debt and deny any cuts to those programs and ever solve one thing that way. You have to deal with real things, either deal with them now or they are coming back in your faces a few years from now when the U.S. collapses.

You can't just all hide like little kids for ever and demand money from the government and not ever discuss how to pay for it and just keep making the same demands. Look where it got you. Lost election, the beginning of the end of SS and Medicare.

Now, I can tell you what the politicans will do with SS and Medicare. They are going to make tiny, minor nothing changes this year to keep the peace and to prop up the phony budget and they are going to go and borrow another $1 trillion to prop those programs back up for one more year. Then, next year they have to means test. The second year of SS and Medicare cuts, then Medicare goes to vouchers. Five years from now, those programs will have been cut down by necessity into indigent only programs, but, they are going to do this one bit at a time so that no one riots. Mark my words. They are going to make tiny cuts, raise the retirement age 1 year and that does nothing, everyone just goes off on disability SS at 62 anyway, so then they will come back next year and means test, and then the cuts continue each year until there's nothing left.

the typical defecit annualy was about a half a trillion a year before obama, now obama spends over a trillion a year than what is brought in. with your 120 trillion with a 'T', that means the ENTIRE defecit annualy would be to fund SS and medicare. The annual defecit is for the entire US budget (or lack of with obama). by your unfunded 120trillion at currene defecit spending levels I guess the SS system is good to go for 120 more years lololol. your spouting against the WWII generation getting SS and medicare for 40 years is so whacky that only you believe that all people that get SS/medicare at 63 yrs old all live to over a hundred. My father a WWII vet died 7 years after hitting SS benefit age at 70. lets face it, your rant is that old people are leeches, the young don't want to pay taxes that old people might get any money out of. Try your twisted logic on the freeloaders on SSI that never paid in, or medicaid or welfare, all these are taking your tax money and are demographically very young. And if you want to gripe about pensions, try union and gubbmint golden retirement plans where these people receive their entire salary for life and typically retire before they're 55, talk about getting more than you put in, plus these pensions are underfunded with the balance paid by federal pension guarantees. breathe, take a step back and see the typical SS retiree is not the mogul you describe.

So why are both parties ONLY looking to make cuts to SS and Medicare?? Because that is where most all the money goes and that is where the big debts are.

Why do you want all that government health care and government monies and then say you are against socialism?? Wouldn't it have made more sense for you to have just all admitted you love socialism and you want that big huge unfunded socialism and then go and fight for a national sales tax to fund it. I've heard Bill O'Reilly mention that many times. You are tiny children with tiny IQs asking big daddy government for money with no way to figure out how to get it. You lost the election, so no, you are not going to cut SS and Medicare off on other people. NO, there is no big young working generation that is going to be able to pay you. You need 12 workers paying in for one of you to get it and you have 2, not 12. And, no, they should not have given that stuff to the World War II generation because they did not pay for it. They took your money and gave it to the WWII folks. Had they only given it to people who paid in, the baby boomers would have plenty of money in there now. The government created a Ponzi scheme and it collapsed.

What is a tea party that says it wants spending cuts and says it hates socialism doing asking for $121 TRILLION more from SS and medicare than you paid in?? How phony can you get? How long can you say same idiotic stuff? No one cares. You lost the election and both parties are now starting to cut SS and Medicare, like everyone says on Fox, on CNN and on MSNBC, that is where all the debt is and where all the money is going. YOu guys are so greedy you can't let it go, you can't hear what they are saying day and night on TV. You just stay in denial. You are like a dog with a bone, you can't let go. You can't deal with reality.

That's your problem. You made up some low IQ fantasy where you could force the politicans into giving ONLY you all the tax money. Of course you can't do that. You cannot advocate to give you $121 TRILLION in welfare on a platform of "no welfare, no socialism and cut spending." A request for $121 TRILLION in socialism needs a platform of "create a value added tax, create a national sales tax, fund SS and Medicare with new taxes, we are willing to pay for it." That's how you fund it. You don't try to side wind your way into cutting all other spending when the stuff you want uses up almost the entire budget. All this crazy stuff is born out of the people having such low IQs.

Your SS and Medicare money went to pay the world war II people, so shut up about you are entitled to one thing. You wanted the WWII people to get all that free stuff, fine, you paid for it, now shut up and don't ask for that money back. It went to the WWII people, so give up asking for SS and Medicare for yourselves because your tax money went to them.

Duh?? Our young people have just been in two ten year wars. They didn't go to war for the country?? Really?

My grandfather only had one kid to avoid be drafted into WWII and then he went on medicare at 62 by lying he was disabled and now he is 100 and collected SS and Medicare for 40 years and paid zero into Medicare and almost nothing into SS and didn't fight in any war and he makes $300,000 a year just collecting rents and never needed Medicare or SS AT ALL. But since you wanted him to have all that free millions of dollars of stuff, fine, then you paid for it and don't ask the government for your money back. Oh, and then after he used my father to avoid the draft, he abused him so badly that he killed him off by the age of 42, and now he is also killing off his grandchildren, and there is no law against it. Glad you like giving him all that money he didn't need. Oh, when he sold the building out from under my brother and sister, he got paid $750,000 in one day from selling that building. yeah, he's really poor and needed government money all those years. Yeah right. He said when my grandmother died, it cost over $200,000 and she never paid into medicare either. This is how you ended up with over $100 TRILLION in debt in Medicare after only one generation getting it. Like it, love it, lose it. I could care less.

The people on the government pensions get richer and richer and the poor on welfare are taxed more and more to pay for it and the Dems are all for it. In CA they want to tax those who make $7,500 A YEAR in a new tax to pay out $100K a year to uneducated government retirees. The Dems do not care about the really poor people. All they care is about government employees making twice what people in the private sector do and getting ginourmous pensions that the poor pay for. They think it's 1965 all the way around.
