Benghazi trumps that by a zillion miles. The victims themselves begged for more protection. Intelligence said they needed more protection. Friendly fire is extremely commom in any battlefield (Afhanistan, Iraq, Panama, Grenada, etc.). When you have overwhelming power from different branches (Marine, Army, Air Force, etc.), they will step into each other in the fog of war.

The question is that having a gun increases the risk of collateral damage. And politician will use this event to sell their biased views. The station in Benghazy was a SPYING CENTER with a mission to destabilize Egypt! That effert was shut down the way it should have been! I don't know what battlefield you have been on but friendly fire, although it does happen is EXTREMELY rare. law enforcement having a gun is a neccessity and people thinking this is related to Fast and Furious without all the facts is like people thinking the Aurora Co shooter was a Tea party advocate and the FT. There have been 4 reported friendly fire incidents in Afghanistan, by Americans, since 2001, and in Iraq there were 6 incidents by Americans. While there were more, most ere done by British and Canadian, or other NATO troops, and even those were few and far between, no evidence of "common" exist.
