Wait until the public hears about McCain's insanity. He voted against equal pay last week, saying that women need more education and training before they could compete with men. He seems completely unaware of the long standing 30% pay gap between men and women with equal training and experience doing exactly the ssame work. He has promised to appoint judges who will overturn Roe vs. Wade, and wants to stay in Iraq till we "win" and then occupy for another hundred years. He wants to make the Bush tax cuts permanent, make individuals responsible for health care risks, opposes help for those losing their homes, and wants to invae Iran. His many years of voting for corporate interests while claiming to be Mr. Clean will come out in a general election. Those who feel that he shares their values don't yet know that he voted against Schip funding for children's health care. They also don't know that he abandoned his first wife and their children) to marry the second, a beer heiress worth millions.(They own 8 houses) He refuses to release his medical records. There's so much more that makes McCain unsuited for the Presidency. But this should give anyone interested a good start in understanding why McCain will never reach the Oval.

Bush is the reason why McCain is not going to win the race for the Presidency, along with his votes on equal pay, staying in Iraq, etc.

The one thing that I DON'T think will hurt him is the 'overturn Roe vs. Wade' thing: a LOT of Democrats think that abortion is murder, like I myself do, so that might not hurt him as much as people think it would.

Grandmom is also right: all of McCain's 'dirty little secrets' will come out as soon as he is confirmed as the Republican Party chosen one, just like Hillary's and Obama's have been coming out, what few of them there are.

it seems to me whoever we elect in office nothing will get done unless we make them. i believe we are in iraq over our energy policy. we need to unite and organize to get things done. we can make them pull out of iraq and change their energy policy. we can produce our own energy here at home. all we have to do is not go to work one day, one week, whatever it takes. the truckers are already blocking roads and have been to washington. i believe it would work. this is our power to make them do what is best for us, not them! i'm game. anyone else?

you're correct that our next president needs to be able to rally public support in order to accomplish change. That's why I support Obama. He can inspire people to take action.

There is an important difference between Bush and McCain. I wish I could think of what it is.

Clearly, President Bush failure to stop the Iranian regime’s 'head of the snake' attacks and killing of US troops and retaliate against Iran is a major problem to McCain and will bring Hillary to back power only to bring defeated US troops home and losing all Iraq achievements to the Iranian regime.
The failure of President Bush to start domestic gasoline production in US from oil, oil shale, gas, coal, tar and hydrates made US dependent of Islamic terrorist oil with prices that are skyrocketing and caused major damage to US economy and national security. President Bush failure to stabilize Iraq because the Iranian regime keeps sabotaging all US achievements in Iraq and killing US troops is a failure of Bush and a dismal surrender to the evil radical Islamic regime and his nukes and dirty bombs that will have major impact on US economical and political interests in the Middle East.
President Bush failures to stop the Iranian regime attacks on US troops in Iraq and in the oil dependency of US to Islamic terrorist regimes leading to weak US dollar and high gasoline prices are very bad news to GOP and will cause major failure to McCain and to the GOP as a party sending GOP to be the minority party for the next eight or twelve years.
The only question left is if President Bush will decide to retaliate against the evil Iranian regime for killing our US troops on a daily basis of if he will order the start of oil drilling in the US that will help McCain in his efforts to defeat Hillary.

Difference betwen Bush & McCain:
Bush lied to get us into a war we didn't have to fight in Iraq. McCain is telling the truth when he says he'll continue Bush's Iraq policy.

You're right! Any Texans reading this should strongly consider supporting Rick Noriega for Senate. Noreiga was elected to the Texas House of Representatives in 1999 and served as a Lt. Col. in Afghanistan when his Guard unit was deployed in 2004. If you want reasonalble solutions to the war on terror, elect someone who has fought in it!

After being in office for 25 years and on earth for another 50 or so I fail to understand how the "straight talk express" believe he can win on these ridiculos policies. I mean, do-it-yourself health insurance because anything government ran is sub-standard (except for his own health insurace) The foreclosure crisis was basically caused by irresponsible homeowners so let them fend for themselves. I didn't mean that we will be in Iraq for 100 year so let's blame Obama for his misinterpretation even though everyone understood it in the same way. The "never again" statement in New Oreleans while people are still struggling to rebuilt while we borrow and spend trillions in Iraq helping them rebuild while they store cash and oil reserves....and on and on..

I think that if we release some of the oil we have in reserves with a good exit strategy from Iraq. We'd be better able to reduce the oil prices by decreasing the supply of oil from the big gas companies.
