At a dinner party in Los Angeles not long after the 2000 election, I was talking to a man and his wife, both prominent Republicans. The conversation soon turned to the new president. Somebody has an agenda here and didn’t bother to read the whole story. The point is not that “McCain's no Reagan” but that he is no McCain. And as for media attempts “to reinvent McCain”, how about some facts to counter what was in the story?
