McCain blames Obama for high gas prices in new ad

Several recent polls show Americans believe Barack Obama is better prepared to deal with energy prices than John McCain, and given the importance of the issue on the minds of voters, the McCain campaign has decided to rely on a tried-and-true method of campaigning: lie like a rug.

I don't think "Junior" is inexperienced enough or prepared to deal with anything because of his lack of experience.

Obama is a wacko.

Just when I think the McCain campaign finally woke up and realized that following the same path that Hillary took will yield the same results, they hop back on the path with a vengance. I can't wait to see a debate moderator ask him to why Obama is to fault for gas prices after framing it using McCain's own quotes and longstanding voting record about it.

McCain who says he's the most experienced with 24 years in service has done nothing in those 24 years and he wants to blame the so called "inexperienced" one.
McCain is the one who wanted the tax holiday- which after being told by economists and the "inexperienced" one alike that it wouldn't work, finally quit bringing it up.
Now, Bush and his clan want to drill offshore, and McCain is fighting to see they get their way. Even by trying to blame the "inexperienced" one. But economists and the "inexperienced" one have said that even if they drilled today, it would be 15+ years before we see a difference in gas prices, etc. Besides, there are permits in Texas alone- granted for drilling 2500+ that have not been put to use-- why don't they drill where they already have permits before they move on to other areas, because it's not really about the drilling, it's about the location. Bush and his oil buddies with McCain's help want to capture all the lands and secure them for thier $$$$ benefit. It has nothing to do with helping us, just themselves.

With that kind of experience, I'd rather have the one with the least experience (it seems that he's the only one that's getting it right).

ROFL, keep sending em our way John.

Honestly. Is he making raod signs to help people find Obama? This ad will completely backfire. Since McCain has more to do with high gas prices then Obama.

Also notice the mccain camp says he has no foreign relation experience...... The Iraqi PM has endorsed Obama's plan. Funny when someone who isn't with the Bush camp meets him, he suddenly wants a time table........

The more conservitives do, to keep/gain voters, the more they leave...... There is a reason for all of it. To bad for conservitives, they'll never figure it out in time.

Want to know who is responsible for the escalating prices of everything, not just gas? Simply visit the Congressional Records at the Library of Congress, at www.thomas.loc.gov .
The root cause of all economic problems, save for the Iraqi war, was spawn from two types of legislation. The first deals with International Trade Treaties, and the second has been modifications to our tax code. Congress "helped" corporations relocate offshore. Without Congress' help, globalization would have had trouble getting off the ground. The upward pressure on all products is due to the meteoric expansion in China and India. As millions more people in China and India move upward in society, their appetite for all consumerable goods will only expand. Today's $140 per barrel cost of crude oil will look "ideal" two years from now.
In summary, check the candidate's senatorial voting record.

About time McCain started telling it like it is.
Obama and his democrat conspirators want high gasoline prices!

Have you all not been listening to the democrats for the last 6 years or more? They complained, whined and moaned about america paying too little for fuel, and polluting too much ... so what has happened? They punish and demonize "big oil" and close down drilling and exploration as much as possible. They mandate 43 different blends of gasoline. They regulate refineries nearly out of existence... and they want to raise the price of gasoline even higher now with more taxes ... ala ... Europe.
Open your eyes people ... democrats WANT high gas prices!!
What do they see as the biggest threat? Global warming. What is the csuse? Fossil fuels!!
Democrats want to price you out of your cars ...so only the rich and themselves with their paid expenses can drive their jets and limosines.

Get it?.. You are quickly running out of time.

Rest assured Barack Obama and the democRat Party are beholden to Global Warming Marxist and euro socialist contributors.
That means no exploration, no new refineries, no drilling, no nuclear power, no clean coal, etc. Instead of doing what works, we should lay the security and economy of the United States Of America at the feet of anti-American nutcases. If Obama is elected The United States is in for another Great Depression.
At the moment there is a hurricane headed to Texas and that news has caused the price of oil to rise. That's the kind of razor's edge the self-serving dirty diaper democRat Party has The United States Of America sitting on. It's past time to rid America of the insanity bought about by a once great party who now accepts contributions for any group of lowlifes and in exchange echoes their sentiments.
Many of the democRat leaders know the people they represent are nutcases but the money coming in from abroad is good...otherwise they would be in the same financial shape as their newspaper cohorts.

You’re wrong moron. Maliki did not endorse anything about Obama...the German euro-socialist magazine Der Spiegel twisted words in an interview designed to slam McCain and make the Obamanation look good.
Why would Maliki want or need advice from a community organizer junior US senator with ZERO military experience, voted against the mission in Iraq and the voted against the surge? Maliki knows whose efforts are responsible for his position in Iraq and the efforts are damn sure not Obama's...Maliki was being courteous and probably has forgotten about Obama like yesterday's poop.
McCain is correct about Obama and high gasoline prices. The price of gas has jumped $2.00 per gallon since democRats were made a majority by politically inept, history illiterate twits just like you. democRats have ZERO plans to lower fuel costs…despicable.

GOP kills Democrat oil drilling proposal
WASHINGTON - House Republicans on Thursday killed a Democratic plan designed to spur drilling on already available federal lands in Alaska, the West and the western Gulf of Mexico.

Republicans scoffed that the Drill Act — imposing a tougher “use it or lose it” rule on leases already held by oil companies — would do little to boost exploration. They renewed their demand to open up the Atlantic and Pacific coasts and the eastern Gulf of Mexico to exploration....

Democrats pointed out that any new offshore leasing — sought by the administration, most Republicans and some Democrats — would not produce oil for a decade or so and therefore would not effect today’s $4-plus per gallon gasoline prices....

“Drill. Drill. Drill,” said Rep. Nick Rahall, D-W.Va., the chairman of the House Natural Resources Committee.“Drill here. Drill now.”

Democrats again called on President Bush to release some oil from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve in an attempt to immediately drive down prices....

Democrats again called on President Bush to release some oil from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve in an attempt to immediately drive down prices.

As debate began, the White House weighed in with a veto threat...On the eve of the vote, the Interior Department issued a major new lease in Alaska’s National Petroleum Reserve. The Democratic bill would require a more active department leasing program on the reserve...Democrats say the industry should first go after oil and natural gas on 68 million acres already leased.

Democrats also say Republicans are simply seeking political advantage with a pro-drilling plan that won’t deliver new U.S. oil for another decade or so, and that the GOP’s fixation on drilling is a smoke screen for the administration’s inability to prevent the sharp spike in gasoline prices....Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., moved to begin debate on a bill aimed at curbing speculation in the oil markets that Democrats say has contributed to the rapid rise in the price of oil."

Maybe Senator McCain thinks that, because the American constituency elected a real bonehead (twice), that this is his best shot at winning.

Anything to cover up the real problems. Let's have some real hearings and get to the real facts to include lobbyist money and such. How many in our Congress could withstand the truth?

The interview was interpreted by Maliki's interpreter and Der Speigel made a recording of the interview. That is the basis for the further translations, which confirm that Maliki's words were translated correctly.
Maliki said he was not endorsing Obama, just his plan to vacate Iran quickly.
Here's Der Spiegal's English translation if you want to read it:
AS SOON AS POSSIBLE'
Iraq Leader Maliki Supports Obama's Withdrawal Plans
In an interview with SPIEGEL, Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki said Barack Obama's 16 month timeframe for a withdrawal from Iraq is the right one.

Today the senate voted 90 to 0 to control the manipulation of hedge funds buys which is also one of the factors raising the price at the pump. Now all they have to do is put the Bill together. Another reason is the dollar is worth 70 cents. Need more dollars to buy a barrel. McCain new add is a lie. It was the Democrats that put the DRILL Bill on the floor last Friday. The republican Party voted NO. Bush threatened to Veto. Pickens is testifing before the Senate today. Oil man multimillioner Republican says you can't drill your way out of this crisis. He has invested in the largest production of electricity with WIND. Telling Congress what he need from the Government and all about his Plan. Republicans not interested. They want to drill in Anwar.

Great post! I'd like to add that the reason the offshore drilling ban was imposed in the first place is that when they tried it, the sea bed cracked open, causing a tremendous oil spill that ruined the local fishing industry. The consensus was that it was too dangerous. Drilling off a coast interferes which continental shelves, and the other danger was triggering a massive earth quake. There are pistons now being manuvactured which can be linked in a floating grid off a coast and powered by the vertical motion of the waves. The first large grid will start going in next spring.

Are you really this stupid ... or just obtuse?

How do oil companies make money?
Answer: pumping oil from the ground, refining it and selling the it in various peoducts.
Question? Would the oil they pump from Alaska have a large effect on the price of oil?
Answer: LOL ... get serious
Question? Why then would oil companies not drill for oil they thought would be profitable?
Answer: They wouldn't ... They would drill.

Question? Why don't the democrats know this ... and why are you posting such ridiculous spam garbage?

Answer: stupidity?
