Obama confronts nation's legacy of racial division

Can we face a couple honest facts?

1) Obama's so-called "Rev." Wright cannot even be Born Again, uttering such repulsive trash as "God Damn America!"

2) Ministers are called to preach the Gospel of Jesus, to show the same love and compassion he did. Wright's lunatic screaming about racial issues do neither. He is an utte disgrace.

3) For Obama to sit under this man's teaching for 2 decades shows that he has no regard for the Gospel, and that he passively or openly agrees with what Wright is spouting. Obama's damage-control speech cannot undo what his 20-year history of supporting intolerance, ignorance and a flat-out idiot.

4) Why do Wright, Sharpton and Jesse all have to come across as stark-raving nutjobs? Yet they hide behind the Cross to justify their twisted antics. And ol' Jesse was/is living in adultery all the while. Does anyone, anywhere, honestly believe these jerks represent Christianity? More to the point, would Jesus feel comfortable listening to their "sermons?"

Obama has been sitting in this man's congregation for 20 years and wants us to believe that he disagrees with what the man preaches? I don't know about you, but if I heard racial comments like what has been spewing from his mouth at my church, I would just get up and walk out, knowing I would never return. Point well taken and well spoken. Unlike some of the other idiots. No one can really believe that this man is experienced enough to do a good job for ANYONE! Hillary may not be a saint but, she is educated just as highly as Obama. I still take issue with his religious affiliations. Not for me or the United States, you don't have to be white, black, pink or purple to see that; just educated by reading the information on all candidates.

Race is the issue why I think American voters should reject Obama for President. If Obama is elected, every national issue will turn into a race issue. America doesn't need that especially after the mess the W has left this country in.

Pastor Wright spews the same lies about AIDS and drugs being government plots to wipe out people of color that Louis Farrakan does. He believes that 9/11 was deserved by this country. He preaches a gospel of victimhood and blame whites for all the ills of the black community. Obama sat for twenty years listening to this man preach. Does he think the world is so naive to believe he has never heard this extreme racist rhetoric? We are not. By your associations you shall be known. I agree and when he said that other priests and pastor spew racial hatred. I am a Catholic and can honestly tell you that no one, especially any priest I have ever had, spews any kind of racial or ethinic hatred in the pulpit. If they did I would not be a member of that church. These jerks don't represent Christianity. I felt Obama's comment was just a non-comment.

I have a husband that I LOVE who says things that I would be ashamed for ANYONE else to hear. But I'm NOT going to go and divorce him because of it. I SHOULDN'T be held responsible for what my husband says. We are two separate entities and I think for myself as does he. The problem is that Obama actually believes in the Alynsky method which is used by Pastor Wright in his sermons. The idea is to agitate people into action. Anger and resentment is taught to the children of this church. The "action" that results is to make demands of the government and society in general.

The problem is that they are teaching anger, resentment and entitlement to the next generation. It's old school and not forward thinking.

Obama buys into this, and it's part of his personal journey in discovering his black roots.

I understand Obama. But, I also understand that he cannot and will not be President because of what is deep within him. After 20 years of Alynsky method, he doesn't understand why this stuff won't fly.
