Dobson Accuses Obama of Distorting Biblical Text

James Dobson is no stranger to controversy. He made waves when he suggested that he had "confidential information" on then Supreme Court nominee Harriet Miers. In 2005, he outraged the gay community when he said that "gay marriage was like slavery only worse."Now he is back in the spotlight with his recent attacks on Barack Obama. Dobson claims that Barack Obama had distorted the Bible and espouses a "fruitcake" approach to the U.S. Constitution.

I heard that you believe that Obama is distorting the Bible, and I must say that is a pretty devastating attack coming from a person like you who would obviously never distort the Bible. I mean everybody knows that the Bible is a book that is entirely focused on stem cell research, gay sex, and Sponge Bob cartoons. Look at Jesus, he was clearly a Republican. Never mind all that crap he said about peace and helping the poor and stuff, that is all outdated crap now. If he were still alive today he would clearly be calling to go blow some Iranian ass to kingdom come, and instead of giving aid to the poor there is no doubt he would be pushing to stop a minimum wage increase and working to ensure that our CEOs take home even more money. Doesn't matter to me what Dobson is, actually he is right. Obama doesn't know his bible and sets himself up for criticism by trying to use christianity as another one of his props to look more electable. I personally don't care much one way or another about religion, but if a person is going to lie about it. Lie about your faith correctly. If he had ever opened the Bible he would have read that many of his fraudulent polices are abominations. I have never, ever met a Christian who condoned abortion or homosexuality, although I myself don't care. He wants to have all the Christian support, but none of the actual beliefs. I really do think he is a closet Muslim. I personally would repect him more if he would stop trying to mimic christianity and admit to what he is. An Aetheist mother and Muslim father equals Muslim.
