The labor union socialists are on the move again. For every unskilled hack getting a "living wage" as deemed by politicians and union officials rather than market-driven wages, costs go up for many more people unnecessarily and decrease their wages.

How low can these hotels sink? Does LAX-area hotel management think spending all this time and effort denying their workers a (barely) living wage is worth the cost in PR?
I've been seeing signs around the city urging L.A. residents to boycott the LAX Hilton (makes you sick if you think about it, doesn't it?). I will honor that boycott, even to the point of having annoying relatives sleep on my couch, rather than subsidize these heartless corporations' neverending battle to keep food out of their workers' mouths, and their children's mouths, all so management can pocket what, to them, is change they wouldn't bend in the street to pick up.

Sorry, but if you have made an entry level job your career then you have made a bad decision and I am not going to support fixing your mistake. We have a minimum wage, and if you are happy to live at the lowest end of society then you should be happy getting it. Living wages are for people that are actively trying to improve themselves and move up to better jobs, not those that choose to stay at the bottom and are taken advantage of by union builders that will take their percentage off the top. If these people were unhappy with their wages they can easily move to any other low paid job, they are easily found since many people wont work for minimum wage. If they think they should be able to raise a family and buy a house on a room cleaners wages, then they should be awakened to the fact that you dont get the perks of the good life without working harder. Drop out of school, run the border, get caught in criminal activities and you will remain at the bottom.
If you do the minimum in life to get by, you deserve the minimum in life. You make your choice early and pay for it forever.
