The casual NCAA fan is well aware of who Xavier is. Take a look at the number of regular season wins and NCAA tournament appearances over the last 25 years and you'll see that Xavier ranks with the elite programs. That said, they do suffer from an identity crisis because of their league and ESPNs love affair with the BCS conferences.
