Great win!
It's so hard to come away with conference road games when you have a giant target on your backs...now for some home games! I miss hinkle...

Great win for Butler. It is great to see so many Indiana schools haveing good and great years.
Butler plays like a TEAM and that is why they are so successful.

Green comes up big again and shows why he is recognized by many national writers as one of the best players/point gaurds in the country.

Butler was pretty much outplayed until the last three minutes of the game when UWM choked up and essentially froze their offense. And, they only shot 60% from the line. Howard looked like a freshman last night. Hopefully this game will wake him up.

Butler was lucky to escape with a win. They are going to have to bring a lot better game if they want to beat Drake.

Again, barely beating a .500 ball club in a mid major conference. I am thinking Butler has already peaked.

The shooting slump AJ Graves is in is a mystery. I bet he hasn't gone 2-14 since elementary school.

Once they get his shot squared up (or his head straightened out)...

The Dawgs played horribly last night but managed to pull out a victory. The young guys came up big in the first half to keep the team in the game. I have been hard on Hahn all year but his shots were huge. To the poster saying the dawgs have peaked I'll just simply give you 22-2 ranked 9th in the country. If you have watched any of the games you would know that they have not peaked and really haven't played a complete game in weeks. If you knew that much about college basketball you would be aware that you can throw records out during road games in any conference. Keep rolling Dawgs and we'll see you at Hinkle. What a great reason to get out of Valentine's Day--Butler Basketball

You have that one right. I am a Boiler fan and am glad to see Butler representing the state so well.
I am hoping that Purdue and Butler will start playing again each year. It would start a great tradition. Could play at Mackey than Hinkle and than for the 3rd year in Conseco.

Wisconsin-Milwaukee is a powerhouse.
(sarcasm)
Did you not catch the fact that Tennessee only won by 6 at Chattanooga and 2 against LSU or that your beloved Hoosiers were taken to double overtime at Illinois? None of these would be considered 'powerhouses' either. It's tough to win on the road anywhere and good teams pull these games out and find a way to win.

So, TX beats Kansas and is ranked below Butler. Do you think Butler could handle Kansas? It's more than very doubtful that they could even stay close.
Why brag about the ranking when you acknowledge that Butler hasn't played a complete game is weeks? If that's the case they don't deserve the ranking. Rankings are not about what a team could do if they played what some perceive to be their best game, they are about reality and right now Butler is way overrated. It was obvious after watching last night's game.
Did you miss the FL game last year or the Ohio State game this year? Butler can play with anybody.

The farther we go, the more shrill the haters become. As far as rankings go, should I value your opinion over that of a panel of professional sportswriters and D1 coaches? Probably not. Next thing to think about: Butler would be willing to play Indiana, Notre Dame or Purdue anytime, anywhere and yet your boys just can't seem to find time in there schedules. Why is that?

Or the "bad" team collapses and gives the win away; like last night and at Valpo.
Just like last Thursday at Illinois.

Its funny you haters show up in every forum. If they are such a non factor and overrated why do you find yourself in every forum. I watch college bball most nights of the week and can easily say you can't name a few teams ranked behind Butler that should be in front of them. To be honest I love when the Dawgs play the larger schools because we have better sucess against them because they can't prepare for how the Dawgs play in a day or two. This is why they will do well in the tournament on neutral sites. Larger and more athletic teams struggle against the Dawgs due to lack of dicsipline. Mid majors are use to running through 5 screens a possession. Larger schools play more 1-on-1 ball which plays right into the dawgs defense. Keep your hate rolling, just make sure you show back up to eat your crow come tourney time when they will be the last team standing out of the state. Hey Dawgs, if they are talking about you it means you are doing something right. Grown men being jealous, thats pretty funny.
