Another great win. This team is so complete. They even seem to be making strides to eliminate their one big weakness, rebounding. Even though I feel at times they fall in love with the three too much, they have shown they can score from anywhere on the floor. In the past years they've had to use the three to win. Not now. Inside, outside where ever they need or want.
The best thing though is to see these guys on the floor with the right amount of confidence in themselves and their teammates. No egos getting in the way. Each teammeber will pass as easily to get a play as they will shoot to make the play.
I'm having more fun watching these guys play than any team I can remember. That is including our sweetsixtenn team. For anyone who is letting pride get in the way of watching the Bulldogs play, you are difinitely missing out! They are a joy to watch.

One more thing. As a Bulldog fan I would just ask my fellow fans not to waste their time jumping over to the IU thread to rip them. I don't understand doing so. Degrading a team your team has played can, in the end only degrades your own team.
I understand ripping classless people who come on here to put down the Dawgs. I do the same. But show class and stay off their thread. It's just a waste of time.

Anybody know what the attendance was yesterday? I'm telling ya everybody, no matter what team you pull for; that is the best $8 ticket in basketball!

As a Butler alum, I am very proud of the way Coach Lickliter handled the difficulty of the past two seasons with class and the way he has prepared this year's team and continues to keep them focused on playing fundamental, team basketball. I am also proud of the way the team has not let their success and national attention inflate their egos, nor distract them from doing what they need to do to continue playing good basketball.

I also agree with Bulldog Fan Todd that Butler fans would better represent our alma mater and our team by not ripping IU, IU fans, or the Indy Star for its less than adequate coverage of the Bulldogs. We can most effectively help the Bulldogs get the respect they deserve by supporting our team and by talking them up online, at work, etc. Go Dawgs!

I am really impressed with the way the Bulldogs have played all season and think they will make some major noise in the Big Dance. What I can't understand is why they are one of the best teams in the nation, having their best seasons ever and STILL can't sell out at Hinkle. Indy needs to get behind this team. Surely their is a large enough student/faculty population and plenty of local alumni to fill the Fiildhouse... right?

Conventional wisdom would say that we should be selling each game out. However, if you put the entire student body and faculty in Hinkle twice, you still don't have a sellout. Also, with the colts going to the super bowl, I don't think casual sports fans have noticed the Dawgs. Hopefully once the SB is over Butler will sell out their remaining 4 home games.

Go Butler, just keep taking care of business one game at a time, it's so good to see a small school ranked up there with the big schools. My daughter and son-in-law are Butler alumni, so we are really enjoying the Bulldogs success. Unfortunately we don't get to see many games down here in southeastern Indiana, can't wait to see the playoffs.

Isn't it interesting that the Dawgs will be ranked in the TOP 10 nationally by 3:00 today but their victory Saturday was on page 8 of the Sports section. The Star continues to drop the ball week after week. I guarantee there will be a front page story when IU gets a 7 seed and BU getting a 3 seed will be on page 4 of the Sports section.

The Dawgs get better with every game. They continue to improve themselves. I recall a certain Purdue alumn who coached a few games in LA that was more concerned with the play and development of his own players.

The article to which you're replying to said attendance was 9,086, so only 1,957 folks short of a sellout. I'm sure ESPN being there for the game next Saturday against #20 Southern Illinois will lead to a sellout beforehand. Almost wish I could be there... and I didn't even go to Butler, but a league rival!
