Amazing how a team that has been around for this long can play this poorly. There are 5 seniors on this team. And what do we have as an answer? A bench that has 8 players that wouldn't play for most div. II teams. Mata has his moments, but he stinks at recruiting the 4 star player that will develop over time into a good player.

Next years class does look good but can Matta keep them long enough to have a good run or will the good ones leave early and the rest stay and look like what we have now? What I was most concerned about today was the lack of effort on the team. If these guts don't want to give effort sit them on the bench. I would rather see the walk on guys play with great effort. Maybe the starters would produce if they and watched.

Wasn't Evan Turner a 4 star player, just unfortunate he got hurt!! But as for the other players they have to step up their game, especially Buford who was a five star player. The same way Even took advantage of Lighty being hurt last year, Buford needs to do the same. As for Diebler he's a great shooter against sub-par teams but when they play the big boys he doesn't get enough time to set up, forcing a rushed shot. He's a junior and should have perfected this by now.

This was an abomination. Matta, you reap what you sow. You were stary eyed with the big one and done big men, leaving your cupboard bare. Now, you lose one guy and the season is in the toilet. Great planning! You constantly get out coached and your team is constantly outplayed. A bunch of flat footed farm boys kicked the crap out of you. Bo out recruited you and got more from his lesser talent than you did. John Diebler needs to grow a pair and realise he is playing in the BIG TEN! Its time to find a way to get open. You don't earn your scholarship by only scoring when no one is guarding you. I don't care how many points you scored in HS. Time to put up or shut up. DL needs to play with some intensity and stop getting out played by the farm boys. Bufford needs to step up and start playing like his Mr. Ohio BB. Its more of the same, missing shots, losing the ball, turnovers, and looking lost on the court.

Matta better figure this one out fast or its time to take a few years off his contract, not extend it. Its no wonder the Schott is not full and people don't cheer. Nothing to see here, and nothing to cheer about, move along.

Diebler has proven over and over that he does not have a pair. He refuses to take it into the crowd, afraid he might break a finger nail. Momma and Dadadas boy. Not a team player for sure.

Yes, I have and that is the continuing issue. It's great that next year's class is super wonderful, but what about the last three years? I look forward to the one great year and then 3-4 years of NIT effort. Matta has recruited only one point guard since he's been there (excluding Noopy Crater who left for greener pastures :-)) and Conley left after one year. His heir to Mr. Oden can't hit free throws or turn around hook shots. His other two heirs to Mr. Oden are not Div. I players. Let's hope he can put together back to back good recruiting years.

I have to say how the hell Buckeyes were ranked in the top 15 is beyond me. This shows how overrated they were in the first place. I have to say it was a joke not only to lose but to look so uncompetitive on top of it...

We will see won't we. What IF Turner returns, Lighty? Diebler has to, where would he play if he left...Capital? His Dads assistant coach played for the Crusaders.

tell me again why Matta gets some of top recruits to come to OSU?

Underachieving results at a football school that plays in front of the worst basketball crowds around...

Sometimes you feel like a (Buckeye) nut; sometimes you don't. It just happens that sometimes a good team has a bad game. This wasn't the Ohio State Buckeyes today. They're in a league with 2 potential final four teams and several other NCAA tournament teams and they'll still win their share.

Didn't Wisconsin-Green Bay (or Wisconsin something or ever) beat Wisconsin a few weeks ago. Come on Buckeyes, the Badgers aren't that good. Show some pride!

I'm a Badger fan, but once Evan Turner comes back they are going to have a beast of a team. Nice win today, but this is going to be a rough big ten race.

Bigbuckeyefan - you are not giving Wisconsin enough credit. Calling the Badgers a bunch of flat footed farm boys is just plain disrespectful and a joke. Look at WI 6 best players - a WI player of the year (Madison - hardly a "farm" city), an IA Mr. Basketball (Cedar Rapids - again hardly a farm town), a MN state player of the year (Bloomington, MN Twin Cities), along with another Minneapolis player and a guy from the Bronx. Ohio State will have a solid team when they get Turner back, but until then, have some class and respect towards WI>
